A: Yes it does come with a soft case a hood and a cap. I am using that lens with my EOS 80D. It gives me the control I need on M to establish the background effect desired beyond a slow moving subject at about 200 feet and f/2.8 no flash, near sunset, with smooth tracking and retention of focus. Your tripod must be reliable to effortlessly and gently swivel the mounted lens on your camera. Your steady hand while retaining your breath is expected. This investment now completes my tool box. I highly recommend it.

A: Great for video. The image stabilization is pretty good for hand held at 200mm. While it is pretty silent, I would recommend getting an external microphone anyway.
