  • Key Specs
    • Image Sensor Size: 35mm Full Frame (36 x 24 mm)
    • Effective Pixels: 24.2 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 4K (2160p) (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
  • General
    • Brand: Canon
    • Model Number: 0591C024
    • Product Name: EOS Rebel T6i DSLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm STM Lens Video Creator Kit
    • Color: Black
    • Product Set: Video Creator Kit
    • Camera Model Family: Canon T6i
    • Digital Camera Type: DSLR Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: 35mm Full Frame (36 x 24 mm)
    • Image Resolution (Display): 6000 x 4000 (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Digital Zoom: None (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, RAW (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): false (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: 1/4000 - 30 sec. (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: f/3.5 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/5.6 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Minimum ISO: 100 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. When there is plenty of light, using the lowest ISO setting available will typically result in a higher quality image.)
    • Maximum ISO: 12800 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. In low-light environments, using a higher ISO setting helps to capture a sharp, bright image.)
    • Maximum Expandable ISO: 25600 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. Expandable ISO settings use software to simulate brighter images than the device's native ISO range is capable of capturing.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Burst Mode: true (Also referred to as continuous shooting. This feature captures multiple shots in rapid succession.)
    • Self Timer: true
    • Panorama Mode: false
    • Scene Modes: Kids, food, candlelight, night portrait (Exposure modes with predetermined optimal settings for capturing specific scenes. Examples include Landcape, Portrait, and Sports modes.)
    • Effective Pixels: 24.2 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 18 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 55 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • Lens Series: Canon EF-S (The product group that the lens belongs to, based on similar shared features.)
    • Lens Model Number: EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM
  • Flash
    • Integrated Flash: true
  • Display
    • Display Type: LCD
    • Screen Size: 3 inches (Size of the screen, measured diagonally from corner to corner.)
    • Screen Resolution: 1,040,000 (Screens come in a range of resolutions (measured in pixels, horizontal x vertical). The higher the resolution, the greater the picture quality.)
    • Touch Screen: true (Touch-screen devices make navigating more intuitive. Using a touch-screen display, you can do things such as tap to select, hold and drag to move items, swipe to scroll, and pinch to zoom.)
    • Varying Angle Screen: true (The camera's screen can be flipped out and adjusted to rotate, tilt, and/or swivel.)

Q: How long can this shoot continuous video?

A: 29 minutes. just be aware and quickly restart the recording once it hits 29 minutes. It doesn't matter the size of the memory card, it only goes to 29 minutes which I believe most DSLRs is around that length....

Q: Would this be a good camera for makeup tutorials?

A: This would be the perfect camera for that! A lot of people on YouTube use this camera.

Q: What is the difference between t5i anf t6i

A: T6i has wi-fi and it's a little more updated.

Q: Would I have to buy the battery charger separately?

A: No. This camera comes with a battery and a charger.

Q: Will this video kit work on the Rebel T6.

A: This kit includes the EOS T6i.

Q: How's the battery life while shooting video? I'm wondering if I should plan on purchasing additional batteries.

A: Extra batteries are a must. The battery life while shooting video is ok, but it will go fairly quickly. A solid 30 min and it's dead.

Q: I am looking for a new camera to make skiing edits. Would this camera be able to operate in temperatures around 10 degrees? And what would the quality be like compared to a GoPro?

A: Stick with a GoPro. The Canon t6i is way to big and bulky for the mountain side and would be a huge financial loss if you dropped it in the snow. As for handling temperature... I'd ask Canon directly. In my opinion, quality of the shot WOULD be better, but at a pretty great risk.

Q: Is that red or pink?????

A: A flat red.
