I am an "advanced" amateur photographer. I originally used a Canon 35mm and carried extra lenses, filters, flash attachment, etc. At one point, when digital cameras got better, I was over carrying huge bags and weight around. This camera gives me all the creative features I require - all settings can be done manually or automatically. It's got a huge long lens (21mm-1365mm - 35mm equivalent). It's very fast! The only extra items I carry are extra batteries and SD cards. While my friends are busy changing lenses to get that far away bird, I just touch my zoom button! There is a learning curve as there is with any camera, but if someone wants to go totally auto, it's as easy as any camera. It's a little heavy for me, but I'm assured of great quality pictures, close up or far away. I haven't used it for much low light high ISO shots yet, but if it's anything like the SX50 I had previously, I'm not worried. It also has WiFi, which I figured out and tried, but I'm not an expert on yet. I'm very glad I have my Canon SX60!

Great beginners camera. Zoom lens is fantastic! Took a photo of the moon without a tripod and it turned out excellent. It's so easy to use with the auto settings, I haven't experimented much with the other settings. Easy to use and battery lasts a really long time. Having built-in wifi is wonderful . I can operated the camera from my phone or iPad.

This is a great cross over camera. It is fine as a point and shoot, but it is much more powerful than that. It is not small, but I can carry it comfortably in a handbag. It is not a replacement for a DLSR - the aperture range is small, the sensor is small (so low light not as good), and you cannot change lenses (although the zoom is VERY impressive). It does have many of the features that make DLSR cameras attractive - shooting mode control, ability to shoot in RAW and/or JPEG, exposure compensation, good multi-frame firing rate, good video (including slow motion), a hot shoe, and many more. I tried to upload a RAW file, but it crashed the website. So here are an example of the macro (the lens is less than an inch from the page), and example of a low light picture at 1600. The macro is edited, but the low light is straight from the camera. Compared to the RAW version, the picture is cropped in (to about 80% of full size), a phenomenon I did not see in photos taken at lower ISOs. Also, the grain in the RAW file is finer (not as blurry as in the JPEG). It's been said that the best camera is the one you have with you, and this camera is easy to take along! I love my Canon 7D, but on trips with family, going to Disneyland, or family shots at home this is the camera I grab.

Was a toss up between another brand and this Canon. After thoroughly reviewing both, I chose the Canon and am pleased.that I did. Great shots, great zoom, everything is great.

A friend owned this camera, which also led me to buy. I am impressed with everything about this camera. It is easy to use and the quality of the pictures are superb! I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to shoot just for fun! Owning a previous Cannon, this camera far out shines that one......

Some of the best pictures I’ve ever taken! The creative shot is one of my favorite modes to shoot in, I also love the zoom!

I'm a professional photographer but was looking for a decent point-and-shoot to travel abroad with so I didn't have to worry about lugging around a big camera and subsequent lenses. This Canon does the trick. It's light and produces crisp pics. I also appreciate that it takes great video that can be replayed in slow motion. Is helpful since I run a gymnastics camp and am able to slow down tumbling passes to show students their body position. So while you don't get the same quality or bokeh as a full frame professional camera, this one is good on the go.

I've had the camera almost 3 months. I've been using the basic automatic features but I know there's so much more to learn about the camera. I was able to sync it to my phone and tablet pretty easily--first time I've done that! Image quality is excellent and the zoom goes far. I"m still trying to figure out how to shoot quickly and work with the autofocus when trying to get a moving shot.

We have a back yard which gets rabbits and amazing birds and chipmunks and has flowers and lizards...and I can sit in the house and take incredible pictures with this camera. I love it! Easy to use because it's point and shoot and the quality is great.

Bought this camera so that I could take somewhat long range photos as I will be going on vacation nad plan to take pictures of wildlife at a distance. Have not gotten the opportunity for that purpose but while practicing beforehand I am truly amazed at the range of the photos I have gotten so far. Have taken some of the moon that I am amazed how great they came out. Definitely so far love this camera.

Easy to learn and use. Excellent pictures with good lens quality/

The range of the lens is great but it is hard to hold still for a clear shot . Need to use a unipod.

I wanted a camera that was easy to use, high pixel, and had additional bells and whistles for when I have a chance to truly learn the maximum capabilities of the camera. I got all of these for a relatively low cost high quality camera. Couldn't be happier!

This camera is worth the investment. Even though it's bulky all the cool features it has like vivid photos, low light and zoom is excellent. I took this on a family trip and took awesome photos from far ranges. Hope you enjoy this camera!!

I have used Canon since I was in Japan in 1954. I'm now a volunteer in an airplane building group. I use this camera to document construction steps.

The camera has a great zoom so it's very suitable for wildlife photography. Plus, it's affordable for beginners.

I use the Auto feature all the time. Good camera that takes decent photos most of the time. However, I am disappointed with the 65x optical zoom. When the zoom is used to the fullest extent, pics are NOT clear/sharp, they are "grainy" as described in the camera guide. The zoom indicator on the LCD monitor does help with that issue. I take a lot of wildlife photos and that are about 300 feet away and the 65x optical zoom is not good enough for that. Good camera for other photos though!
