The RF35mm F1.4 L VCM is an entirely new L-series lens, targeting a wide range of still-image and video shooters, with a combination of very moderate wide-angle coverage, a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, and excellent optical design. On a full frame camera this lens gives you a slightly wide-angle look which has for decades been used in photojournalism and street photography, and has become a very popular wedding shoot look. On the video side, this lens really shines with a dedicated manual Iris ring, and a new linear focus motor called a VCM (Voice Coil Motor) that is virtually silent. The VCM works in tandem with a Nano USM on the floating focus unit for incredibly fast autofocus. And finally, focus breathing is barely noticeable on this incredibly versatile lens.

Reach superior brightness and clarity with this 28-70mm Canon zoom lens. The fluorine coating protects the lens from dust and water damage, and the two UD elements and Super UD element let you capture high-quality photographs in a variety of settings. This Canon zoom lens has a control ring located near its front barrel that allows easy adjustments.

The RF70-200mm F4 L IS USM is a telephoto zoom lens delivering impressive image quality along with superb mobility as our shortest and lightest 70-200mm f/4 lens to date. Designed for the EOS R System, this lens takes advantage of the large diameter mount and short back focus distance of the RF mount to maintain high image quality while being more compact and portable so you’ll be even more inclined to take it with you on your travels. Results are stunning thanks to 4 UD lenses which help correct chromatic aberration and keep colors vivid, reduced ghosting provided by Air-Sphere Coating (ASC), and Optical Image Stabilization* plus coordinated Optical Image Stabilizer and In-Body Image Stabilizer** for amazingly clear, crisp images at slow shutter speeds and smooth video footage. There’s also dual Nano USMs contributing to a short minimum focusing distance and high-speed autofocus for still shooting and near-silent, smooth autofocus during movie shooting. These features and more, combined with the confidence to shoot in almost any condition with dust- and weather resistant seals and fluorine coating, make the RF70-200mm F4 L IS USM lens a solid performer for any situation.

First thing first: this lens is not cheap. I’m using an EOS R and this lens is easily more than twice as much as my camera. But this is quality and you get what you pay for. The pictures come out crispy sharp, the backgrounds melt away because of the 1.8 aperture size, and the 85mm focal length creates a style that I’m in love with. It flattens the background, gives subjects a flattering look, and melts away everything not in focus. For picture quality, this is my absolute go to lens for everything. If it wasn’t for the size and the tight focal length, this would be everyday lens (but trust me, despite this I still try and make it my daily lens). Downsides: This is fat. Chunky. Huge. To the point where it makes me question whether it will eventually snap off the camera. Fortunately it hasn’t happened, but it is something that gets a bit heavy to handle. Because of the tight focal length and the fact that it’s a prime lens, you might not have many opportunities to use this.

Canon far outdid themselves with this lens. Yes, it may be pricey, but until you've shot with this lens and seen what it can do, you haven't experienced sharpness before. As soon as you take it out of the box, you know you're dealing with a quality product. The weight is perfect to feel like a proper quality lens without being overbearing or difficult to use. I don't know what Canon coated the lens barrel with, but I can't seem to scratch or scuff it at all. Fingernails, rings, cat claws, it doesn't matter. I simply wipe the barrel off with my shirt and its brand new again. Mount it to your camera and the magic begins. Even just messing around with it, the sharpness, colors, and bokeh quality are immediately apparent. But the pièce de résistance is by far the sharpness capability of this masterwork. I thought I was buying an 85mm lens, but I've actually come to find that this is a 85-150mm lens. The extent that I can crop my images and still arrive at a usable photo is astounding. I can crop 3:1 and still get a sharper image from this 85mm than I ever could out of my 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM without any cropping. Oh, and chromatic aberration just doesn't exist with this lens. I could talk for days about the sharpness, but I'll leave it with that. In summary, yes, it is expensive, but there is no flaw with this lens in any aspect. And as camera technology continues to advance, this lens will only get better. To any portrait, wedding, studio photographer or anyone simply looking for as sharp a lens as possible, this lens needs to be in your bag. You won't regret it.
