Best Watch, Second to None
The GW2310-1 will retire my still functional Casio solar G shock G-2310D-8DR, which is no longer available. This new watch should endure just as much abuse as my first. This watch has simple and convenient features that have made this model a favorite, second to none. You will definitely enjoy! Interesting time line of events: I purchased my G-2310D-8DR on a secured line in the foothills of Afghanistan in 2002. The watch was then shipped to a Forward Operating Base in southern Afghanistan. The G-2310D-8DR held up to many harsh conditions in Afghanistan and Iraq: Combat Operations, Extreme Heat, Extreme Cold, High Altitudes and Water. For the curious, depths of water did not exceed 4 meters. There are a few differences between my old model versus the new. The GW2310-1 is atomic, has a resin band, no year display and does not have a data bank. I will definitely miss the stainless steel band as I am certain the resin band will be the first thing to fail. My only other solution is a custom made 550 paracord band.

Great Watch
I'm very pleased with this watch. I've owned many Casios over the years, but this is my first G-Shock. I love that it's a thick, sturdy watch without being too large or flashy. Best key features for me are: *The shockproof design *Awesome level of water resistance (200 meters) *Solar powered so the battery won't need replacing every couple years *The very cool automatic backlight *And of course, the daily automatic self setting to the atomic clock in CO. It's a great package with very nice features. My watch gets its signal every day at midnight and by 12:04, has updated the screen with the RCVD indicator, so I know it's perfectly accurate for yet another day. I hope it lasts a good, long time!

I love it
I bought it for work: I needed to have a watch that I can wash not only with water, but with clorox wipes (I am a nurse, so I need to sanitize them). I also banged them (accidentally) agains wall a few times and this watch do fine under so far. Plus, I like them so much that I wear them outside of work too -> they look very stylish and sporty.
