Chico Pinheiro - Two Brothers - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Each a celebrated guitarist in his own right, Chico Pinheiro from Sao Paulo and Anthony Wilson from Los Angeles join forces for a new recording that explores Brazilian Bossa Nova and American Jazz though a unique lens. Nova is mostly original material with a few well chosen covers that includes special guests Ivan Lins, Dori Caymmi and Cesar Camargo Mariano. Nova has already received raves from critics and audiences in South America.

The raw, dark songs on this 1975 recording by Iggy and his Stooges-mate drew raves-but the raw, dark sound of it's original 1977 pressing on vinyl did not. Williamson recently remixed it; it now returns with the excellent sound it's always deserved! Get it on black vinyl I Got Nothin'; Kill City; No Sense of Crime; Lucky Monkeys; Beyond the Law, and more fascinating portraits from a notoriously haunted time in Iggy Pop's past.

To celebrate Minus the Bear's 10th anniversary, Suicide Squeeze will issue the band's earliest recordings on vinyl. InchHighly Refined Pirates,Inch is Minus the Bear's first proper album. Originally released in 2002, this edition is being remastered from the original tapes, for vinyl, by the legendary Bernie Grundman, the Hollywood-based legend behind many of the industry's landmark recordings.
