Chuck Wagain Gang - Joy Bells Ringing in My Soul - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

The GRAMMY-winning Gaither Vocal Band captures beautiful renditions of timeless love songs with this LIVE performance CD. From the sentimental blends of the Benny Goodman classic InchMoonglowInch and the Dixieland jazz style of InchAll I Ever Need Is YouInch to the tender strains of InchWhither Thou Goest,Inch highlighted by a recitation from Gloria Gaither, Bill, Wes, Todd, Adam and Reggie lift their unmistakable voices with guest appearances by Mark Lowry, Ladye Love Smith and Chris Blue.

Digitally remastered archive containing the complete recorded output of the seminal gospel group on the SAR record tag. SAR Records was co-owned by former Soul Stirrer and R&B/soul legend Sam Cooke and former Pilgrim Traveler J.W. Alexander. The recordings span the years 1959 to 1964 and cover the period after their Specialty recordings and up until Sam Cooke's untimely death.

The Joy grew up on Ladysmith Black Mambazo, but their harmonies harken back to another vocal tradition. Mbube meaning 'lion', gives some indication of the elemental power it's practitioners summon when bursting into song. In this part of South Africa, where the Zulu tradition of a cappella singing is central to the cultural identity of it's people, you'll have to transcend the sum of your constituent parts to truly command attention. But singing together as teenage boys for the first time, Pastor (Ntokozo Bright Magcaba), Duzie (Melokuhle Mkhungo), Guduza (Sphelele Hlophe), Sthombe (Phelelani Sithole) and Marcus (Sanele Ngcobo) have no reason to pause and consider that. Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson pronounce themselves fans, the latter calling them Inchmy favourite groupInch. Sessions produced by longtime champion Two Inch Punch amass millions of streams either in spite or because of the fact that they correspond to nothing else competing for your attention in the modern musical firmament.
