Chrome Dipped [Silver Smoke LP] One of the most exhilarating bands in recent years, Australian band Civic reimagine proto-punk for an era of endless uncertainty. On their new album, Chrome Dipped, they push themselves and their sound even further. The title speaks to a desire to break down barriers. InchI like the idea of Chrome Dipped being a mindset. It's like a casting of your character, or like an outer shell. One of the main objectives for this album was to make a drastic turn in our sound. Break the mold, melt the steel.Inch
The Melbourne-based five-piece Civic return with their visceral new sophomore album 'Taken By Force' - aptly described by the band as Inch1984 meets Endless Summer.Inch Civic have reimagined the reckless intensity of proto-punk for an era of endless uncertainty and have become one of the most exhilarating bands to emerge from the Melbourne-scene in recent years. 'Taken By Force' was produced by Radio Birdman frontman Rob Younger and mixed/mastered by Mike Young (Eddy Current, Total Control).
Limited white vinyl LP pressing. 2021 debut album from the Melbourne-based garage-rock five-piece. Driving and tenacious, but never losing sight of a good hook and how to use it - Civic don't tip-toe around the edges but obliterate them with primal intensity. Finding a home somewhere between 80's glam rock and Australia's 70's greats, they break the pieces of influence before crafting them into their own beast on Future Forecast. The album comes as a follow-up to their highly sought-after New Vietnam EP.
