About this product
Vinyl LP repressing of this classic album originally released on the 4AD tag. With a history of releasing singles between albums, the two EPs on Tiny Dynamine and Echoes In A Shallow Bay were originally released two weeks apart back in November 1985. Seen as companion pieces, they both acted as a precursor to their fourth studio album, Victorialand. 30 years later, they're now being married together on to one piece of vinyl, completed with reformatted artwork. The band’s unique sound, which was haunting and joyful at the same time, was ethereal and emotionally powerful, proving to be a big influence on the shoegaze scene that would come along in the ‘90s.

U.S. vinyl LP pressing. Stars And Topsoil, a Collection (1982-1990) was the first 'best of' retrospective to span the entire period Scotland's ethereal alternative trio recorded for 4AD. Featured are tracks from their acclaimed albums as well as choice tunes from select singles. A perfect introduction to what is generally considered their best era.
Vinyl LP repressing of this classic album originally released on the 4AD tag. Back in 1986, The Pink Opaque brought together the best of the Cocteau Twins' early works to become their first official in the US. Already a cult band on college radio, some classics like 'Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops' and 'Aikea-Guinea' were given new mixes for this , while it also featured 'Millimillenary', the first run out for incoming band member Simon Raymonde. To this day, it remains a great entry point to a wonderful band. All tracks originally recorded between 1982 and 1985. Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie appear on all recordings while Simon Raymonde and Will Heggie also appear on various tracks.
