A: The inside of this is all polished steel. Perhaps the "non-stick" is in part because the maximum temperature setting is 165*F, so nothing "bakes" onto the walls. There are several drip trays, but they need to be supported by either the very bottom, or by a rack. This sacrifices a drying rack for each additional tray used.

Q: Does this have an automatic shut off
A: You set the length of time desired up to 24 hours before you press the start button. A LED display shows the temperature and count down of the remaining time. You can override to shut down the unit manually if desired. When drying more than one batch, the unit will remember the previous setting. So all you have to do is press the start button to repeat the process.
A: At jupst 600w on high, it can't be drawing that many amps. Certainty less than most plug-in kitchen appliances. We've had no issues.
