About this product
The Montreal based dance collective known as Crescent Street Hustlers are on a mission to revive and modernize the Canadian disco scene, celebrating the great dance music that thrived in that city primarily in the late 1970s, at the height of the global disco explosion. The Crescent Street Hustlers pay tribute to Gagnon with their own modern version of the disco masterpiece. The new single features 3 original mixes, including a radio mix, disco mix, and a bonus stripped-down element mix for this exclusive .

On a mission to revive and modernize the classic disco scene of the late 1970s, the Montreal based dance music collective Crescent Street Hustlers have teamed with the newly revived, cutting-edge Miami based Afrowax dance music tag to do just that. Singling out their favorite hits from the classic era, Crescent Street Hustlers have been busy in the studio reimagining and recasting the hits with a decidedly modern edge. The Hustlers are huge fans of the Montreal based songwriter and producer extraordinaire Tony Green, who was a guiding force of the Canadian disco scene of the late 1970s, churning out hits under various aliases. One of their favorite tracks from the era, the funky InchSais-Tu Pourquoi,Inch originally produced, written, and arranged by Tony Green under the alias Fusion, is expertly reimagined here by the Hustlers with their own unique modern take that almost eclipses the original version. The new single features 3 exclusive mixes, including a radio mix, extended mix, plus a bonus stripped-down element mix for good measure.

The synth-pop/disco group Stop was the brainchild of Bijan Dokhanian, a local entrepreneur and musician who connected with his good friend Danny Rodriguez while he worked at JDC Records in San Pedro, California - an important record distributor during the golden years of dance music (1976-1990). Danny introduced L.A. DJ Martin Rodriguez to Bijan and the three of them collaborated and recorded a very raw version of a dance track entitled InchWake Up.Inch When Martin played the tape of the track at his club Fantasia, it was an instant hit. InchWake UpInch went on to become an international dance smash, and was awarded the Billboard Magazine InchIndependent Video Of The YearInch in 1985. Enter the Crescent Street Hustlers, proven experts on all things disco, who decided to record a new version of the beloved hit for their latest full-length album in which they reconstruct several of their favorite dance classics from the golden era. Presented here is the single version of InchWake Up,Inch which includes the album version of the track plus an exclusive radio mix - destined to become a huge hit all over again.
