Cross, who has made the meteoric rise from the depths of the mailroom to TV network president, is mean, nasty, uncaring, unforgiving, and has a sadistic sense of humor - perfect qualities for a modern-day Scrooge. Before the night is over, he'll be visited by a maniacal New York cab driver from the past, a present-day fairy who's into pratfalls, and finally, a ghoulish, seven-foot headless messenger from the future. Directed by Richard Donner (The Goonies, Lethal Weapon films, Tales From The Crypt), Scrooged is packed with a host of Hollywood veterans (Bobcat Goldthwait, David Johansen, Carol Kane, and more) in this iconic '80s holiday dramedy. The score is a real treat to revisit, as you can hear many elements that would become the iconic Elfman sound in future projects, such as Batman, Batman Returns, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, and Tales From The Crypt. The score jumps from cheery holiday tunes to dark and sinister sounds, perfectly capturing the story depicted in the film. This vinyl contains bonus tracks and source cues, and is pressed on colorful themed vinyl. The jacket features alternate poster art and is housed in a poly-lined sleeve; a full-color insert includes credits and production shots.
