Q: What is the minimum frequency response of the subwoofer?

A: The minimum frequency response is 34 hertz.

Q: What is the power output of the subwoofer?

A: The RMS power output of the subwoofer is 200 watts.

Q: What cables are included with the subwoofer?

A: The RCA cables needed to connect the subwoofer are not included.

Q: What type of controls are available on the subwoofer?

A: The Definitive Technology Descend DN10 subwoofer has variable volume, a low pass filter, and phase control.

Q: What would be the effect if this is paired with a supercube 4000?

A: Hello and thank you for your question. Depending on room size, 2 subwoofers are preferred as it will help with overall Bass performance. Ultimately two DN10 subwoofers will provide the best overall balance, a DT SuperCube 4000 with its 8" driver punch and the DT DN10's 10" should blend nicely.

Q: I have the bp9060 towers. how would you set the base on the towers in a way that you dont have too much base in the room of them?

A: Hello. To reduce the amount of bass information being reproduced by your BP9060s, you can use the sub-woofer output dial on the rear panel of your speakers. If you have an AVR, it's quite possible it has settings which allow you to do something similar for your bass information. You could also make adjustments to the crossover with the AVR - if you have a model which offers this convenience.

Q: Would there be quality sound with the DN10 + 4 Pro1000. Using 2 as front and 2 as surround sound? I'm running a Denon AVR. I had powered Polk Audio with subs built in. I want Cinema sound at home.

A: Hello! Yes, the listed system definitely has the potential to provide you with high-quality cinema sound. The DN10 subwoofer is a great performer and punches well above its weight. To complete the system, I would recommend adding one of our center channel speakers. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our support team at 800-228-7148. Buy 2, you will thank me later

Definitive Technology continues to redefine the correlation between size and sound produced by subs. I purchased the DN10 to upgrade a Supercube2000. Like the SC2000, the DN10s punch well above their weight class! Definitive is accurate when stating the 10” sub plays more like a 12” sub. Since this was purchased for my living room the 10” model was the perfect size but I am very curious to hear what the DN15 sounds like. As you can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, this sub does play below 30Hz but if you want to go deeper you will have to upgrade to the 12” or 15” model. Regardless of which size you choose, I highly recommend buying at least 2. I started with one, but the bass did not sound balanced in the room despite running the BP8020s which have subs onboard. Once I added the second DN10 the bass was smooth and balanced. To round out the system I matched up the DN10s to the DM70s to maintain 10” subs throughout the build. This combination created the highest level of balance within my listening space. Room correction is definitely needed to really make this sub shine but when it is dialed in you will have an amazing system.

    Underrated Specs. Tons of headroom.

I didn’t have high expectations for the DN10 as the specs suggested it was a downgrade from our old ProSub 1000. However, the DN10 has exceeded my expectations. I can’t believe the performance of this subwoofer. It’s rated at 30hz when it has significant loudness at 25hz, literally rumbling our couches. At 25hz, it plays over 10db louder than the ProSub 1000. It’s incredible and very well built. Was so impressed that I went and purchased another to complete the pair. Great design.
