A: Yes it is. Just bought one as a backup for my classic.
Q: While charging the battery directly in the drone itself ,how long does it take?
A: That depends entirely on the charger used. If using the charger that came with the M3, above an hour. If you use a lower voltage usb charger, hours are required.
