About this product

This recording, made at Noirlac Abbey in January 2025, is dedicated to Denis Raisin Dadre, who passed away suddenly on September 29 of the same year. With Doulce Mémoire, the ensemble he founded in 1989 and with which he brought Renaissance music to the world, Denis directed the production of this album from start to finish. In the booklet, he writes InchThe Lagrime di San Pietro and Lagrime del peccatore both deal with a subject rarely encountered in musical settings Peter's denial of Jesus. Furthermore, each is the swan song of it's composer. Munich, 1594. In the last year of his life, Orlando di Lasso composed his masterpiece, the apogee of Renaissance counterpoint and musical eloquence. Ferrara, 1586. Lodovico Agostini published his final work, whose language sought above all to move and overwhelm the listener by using all the already baroque devices of chromaticism and dissonance.Inch

Mineccia - Paisiello Album - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

During his lifetime, Giovanni Paisiello (1740-1816) was in fact more famous than Mozart, and his operas were veritable hits. Nowadays, it is in the hands of experts such as Florence native Filippo Mineccia to restore his unjustly neglected compositional output. With his fine countertenor voice, Mineccia presents a collection of outstanding opera arias in a recording which for sure will quickly deserve a prominent place in the shelves (or hard drives) of the many Italian Baroque opera lovers. Mineccia has found in the Lisbon-based ensemble Divino Sospiro under the direction of Massimo Mazzeo an exquisite support. Born in Florence, FIlippo Mineccia began his musical studies very early in the prestigious School of Music of Fiesole, singing in the polifonic choir. After that he continued his musical studies in cello, obtaining a degree at the Conservatory InchLuigi CherubiniInch of Florence. In that same time he also obtained a Singing degree with Gianni Fabbrini. He has worked with prestigious groups all over Europe, and has won notable prizes at renowned contests across Italy and abroad.

Doulce Memoire - L Amour de Moy - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

?Doulce mémoire here delves into the repertoire of French songs that were central to the first printed score in the history of music, Harmonice Musices Odhecaton (Venice, 1501). This repertoire dates from the end of the 15th century and includes music from not only the French and Burgundian courts but also from the chanson rustique, a new genre that was in use at the court of Louis XII (1462-1515). This singular repertoire is based on popular melodies that dealt with everyday, amorous, erotic and satirical subjects; the texts have an irregular versification that was known as 'rural rhetoric' at that time.
