About this product
The NVY-5PROEVO-N4 is a 5.25" full-range speaker from the DS18 NVY series, the brand's high-performance line. It handles 150 watts RMS and 300 watts peak at 4 ohms. Construction includes a water resistant glass fiber cone, a treated cloth surround and an aluminum basket. The motor uses a neodymium assembly. An IP65 rating protects the driver against water and dust in open-air installs on boats, side-by-sides and powersports vehicles. Sensitivity is rated at 93dB across a 100Hz to 20kHz response. Mounting requires a 4.65" / 118.3mm cutout and 2.2" / 56 mm of depth, so confirm the opening before installing. Sold as a pair.
Features
Water Resistant Glass Fiber Cone Construction
The water resistant glass fiber cone holds its shape under sustained power instead of flexing and losing definition, paired with treated cloth surround and aluminum basket. Material choice is what separates a driver that stays accurate from one that only plays loud.
Neodymium Motor, 150W RMS
A neodymium motor drives 150 watts RMS and 300 watts peak, built around 1.2" voice coil on a TIL former and 3.3 Oz of magnet. Neodymium keeps the motor compact and the magnetic field strong, which means tighter cone control at full output.
IP65 Water and UV Protection
Engineered to endure: IP65 rated against water and dust, aluminum construction. Built for open-air installs where the speaker lives exposed to saltwater, spray and sun year round.
Full-Range Clarity From 100Hz to 20kHz
The driver covers 100Hz to 20kHz as a single moving assembly, so the midrange stays continuous instead of handing off between drivers. Vocals and instruments hold their body and their edge at the top of the volume range.
93dB Efficiency Under Power
At 93dB, the motor and cone convert amplifier power into acoustic output with little waste. Less energy turns into heat, the voice coil runs cooler through long sessions, and dynamics stay intact when the system is pushed.
