Suction is great and it’s handy to have around the house... very lightweight and helpful. But the battery life is so short, and it takes so long to charge that it inhibits it’s usefulness. E.g. “That corner looks a little dusty, let me get the hand vac. Never mind , it’s not charged so I’ll do it in three hours. Forget it, I’ll just grab the broom.”

I had another brand of hand held vacuum and wasn’t very happy with it. My kids have the battery operated vacuum with the long extension to allow them to vacuum their floors standing up. Loved the way it worked, so I decided to give this one a shot. Very pleased with the suction and ease of use. The only down side is when it is running the exhaust tends to hit you in the face if you’re holding it in a certain position. But everything else is great!

I must start by saying that I had got mine when they had it on sale for about 180$ before taxes, but it's worth the full price very much so. It's simply the best vacuum for the size. Awesome product, portable, small size and very powerful, doesn't lose suction, easy to clean and you can use it anywhere you want.

We bought this as we got a new puppy and he's all over our couch and house. Wanted something small but powerful and this is perfect. It only does about 10 minutes on maximum suction but that's plenty for us to do a couch and chair or a whole set (13 steps) of carpeted stairs

Really enjoy using this item! Great for quick cleanup on little messes ! Works very well on stairs and furniture! Picks up unwanted dog hair very efficiently! Battery longevity is the only downfall!! Says 20min but doesn't seem to last that amount of time

This is a very handy and powerful hand vacuum, as you'd expect with the Dyson logo. We use it regularly for spot cleanup and corner cleaning with our pugs hair. Is it perfect? No. It has a short battery life, blows air straight back at the user, and is a little expensive. If it broke today, I'd shop other models from Dyson to see if some of these issues are handled better. If they aren't, I'd replace it as is with the same model. So not 5 stars, but satisfied with or purchase.

Extremely satisfied with this purchase. I use multiple times a week with different attachments for every room in the house plus the car. Gets any hard to reach places or ones that require more finesse. Another premium dyson product worth every penny.

This handheld vacuum is amazing! It does a great job not only picking up pet hair but even fine dirt that my upright vacuum had not picked up. my new hand held sucked it all up as well. It is awesome!

I was very hesitant to spend this much money on a vacuum. However, I am very pleased with my purchase! Vacuum has suction far beyond anything I could have imagined! Works great, lasts a long time!

This vacuum works well for cleaning pet hair, and cleaning up cat litter outside the litter box. It does a good job of getting most of the cat and dog hair from surfaces where they stick to.

Vaccum gets deeper than other vacuums in the house. However, can have some stalling at times when charging for large duration. It will blink with a yellow light.

I’ve gone through a couple other handhelds that were basically expensive doorstops after a couple uses. This one rocks the Casbah. It does a great job getting the pet hair off the furniture and makes vacuuming the stairs easy peasy. You have to work quickly, because the charge goes fast, but if you’re cleaning up the hair daily - you should have lots of time.

The battery life is rather short but give the power of the suction, this is a great cordless hand vac. I had a mishap in my car with some kitty liter spilled in the trunk. It picked it all up. I just may get a second one to use in the car :) We originally bought this for pick clean-ups of cat hair and it works great on the furniture and carpets.

Use it almost everyday, and it’s been a great vaccum. Battery life is pretty limited especially on max mode, but that is expected. Wish it came with a floor attachment, but that can be found separately too if you decide you need it later.

Got it to clean up small areas like car floor mats, corners and such. It's amazing! Never looses suction, comes with some great attachments. You'll be extremely surprised by how powerful it is. I am super anxious to get the larger v8 handheld now!

Vacuum the stairs pretty good.The suction is pretty good for a small hand held vacuum cleaner

I bought this to clean my stairs, so I wouldn't have to haul a heavy upright around. The suction is better than my upright - it does a great job! The only negative thing I have to say is that the charger just plugs in on the side. I would have preferred a wall-mounted charging hanger.

Very happy with this purchase. Bought it mainly for cleaning around my cat's litter box, but found it very convenient for any places where a our Roomba can't go: corners, stairs, book shelves, windows, around the fireplace... It is not as powerful as bigger dysons but that is also somewhat of a plus, I can clean a box of say nuts and bolts from dust without sucking in all the metal pieces. It is a very handy device. If anything negative, I find the battery capacity a bit short of the expectation, it is sufficient for one job, but then you need to charge it. Other than that, excellent choice.
