During the V'Ger crisis, Spock used this shuttle to join his crew on the newly-refitted Enterprise. Named Surak after the father of modern Vulcan Society, it had a typical design of the 23rd century.

The Ferengi starship, as owned by the Ferengi merchant Ulis, which was used to raid other starships of their valuables. In the early 2150s, this ship was owned by the Ferengi merchant Ulis. This vessel was used by Ulis and his crew in raiding other starships of their valuable contents. Among the raids for which this vessel was utilized was a raid on a Gavarian starship and another on the Earth starship Enterprise NX-01 in 2151. Following the encounter with the crew of Enterprise, command of Ulis" starship was handed to his cousin, Krem.
