Endlings is a duo comprised of Deerhoof guitarist John Dieterich and composer and artist Raven Chacon. On Human Form, the duo expand upon the haunted abstraction of their 2017 self-titled debut. Four years on, Human Form offers a distillation of a collaborative and improvisatory relationship that began with a performance 10 years ago at the Albuquerque Experimental Music Festival. On Human Form, they are joined on three songs by virtuoso percussionist Marshall Trammell and Iranian artist Babak Shahsiah provided cover art for the LP. Raven Chacon is a Berlin Prize winning Diné composer, visual and sound artist and Southwest noise legend. Chacon has collaborated with the Kronos Quartet, Laura Ortman and many more. John Dieterich is a guitarist, composer and producer based in Albuquerque, NM. He plays in the band Deerhoof and collaborates on a variety of musical and artistic projects. Human Form moves from short-wave music box transmissions piped in from The Overlook's Grand Ballroom (InchIn Us Confide,Inch), to tension-filled percussive tracks (InchPre-Bird,Inch InchIndictorInch), to ambitious long-form compositions that seem to be interpolating between multiple grooves while simultaneously building up and breaking down brackish melodies, surging drones and crushing electronics with laser-guided intensity (InchSave and Hold Fantasy Threats,Inch InchPrimordial FormsInch). Scattered throughout are moments of heavily weighted beauty that permeate the record, from the sun-lit microtonal ascendance of InchCitherInch to the joyful cacophony of InchFrágilInch.

Over a decade since it's inception, Wave Temples continues to refine and refract the project's visionary mythopoetic exotica. Panama Shift presents a 20-track kaleidoscopic star map inspired by Inchthe euphoric cults, both then and now, that come and go in the vast ritual of night.Inch Bleached keys, devotional synth, and driftwood percussion align in minimalist vignettes shaded by tape hiss and field recordings of streams, waves, wind, and birds. Dedicated to the late Japanese-born American anthropologist Yosihiko H. Sinoto (whose portrait graces the cover), famed for his excavations throughout the Pacific and French Polynesia, the album embodies a similarly voyaging spirit Inchchasing ancient mysteries... and rekindling with the esoteric journey of the human spirit.Inch This is music of forgotten shores, sea air, and saltwater shrines, echoing in shells scattered across the altars of Atlantis.

Canadian composer Scott Morgan's 12th long-player as Loscil takes it's title from an influential series of early 20th century photographs by Alfred Stieglitz, abstracting clouds into miasmic, painterly canvases of smoke and shadowplay. It's a deeply fitting analog for Morgan's own musical process across the past two decades, fraying forms and tones into widescreen mirages of opaque texture and negative space. The name Equivalents referred to Stieglitz's notion of the photographs as being equivalent to his Inchphilosophical or emotional states of mind;Inch the same could be said of these eight weighty, shivering chiaroscuros of sound. Each piece unfolds and evolves enigmatically, adrift in low oxygen atmospheres, shifting dramatically from pockets of density to dissipated streaks of moonlit vapor. The entirety of the record was created specifically for the album with the exception of InchEquivalent 7,Inch which began as a dance score for frequent collaborator Vanessa Goodman. The album version of this track was reworked with Vancouver musician Amir Abbey aka Secret Pyramid. Cloud photographs taken by Scott Morgan at various locations throughout Cascadia in 2018.
