This replaced an older Ring and I have been quite satisfied. Installation was relatively easy but some parts could have been a bit clearer. For instance, I had the mounting plates backwards on the 1st try. The 2 camera design is a nifty idea but has no advantages for me. My deliveries are always left out near the porch steps as opposed to the front door so it really does not capture anything. The video is clear & the microphone picks up sound from even out on the street. Tried turning off the human detection feature & it kept going off even when a lizard ran across my porch so I had to turn it back on. The app is a tad slow. It takes a few seconds for the notification to pop up on you the phone & when you try to open the video, it takes another few seconds. There is not terrible lag but quicker would be nice. Overall the app is OK, not the most intuitive at times but fine. The night vision works & I left it at the color option so that the top & bottom light goes off when motion is detected. Hoping that this will deter strangers from coming closer to my house. The local storage is a big plus since there is no monthly fee. I did not see a way to add an SD Card but the 8gb seems good enough. It is also convenient that you can delete videos from your phone. This connected to my in-house chime but you do have to go into the settings & turn it on after installation. The only place this seems to trail behind the Ring is that there is no strong online community. Decently priced so giving this 5 stars.

We recently went from a Ring Video Doorbell 4 to a eufy Video Doorbell E340. The E340 has been a great upgrade so far. I like that it has a higher resolution camera, better motion detection, and an additional lower camera for packages. I also have the eufy HomeBase 3 which adds a lot of extra functionality, like more storage, video playback speed, better motion detection, and a stronger wifi connection. Combined with the HomeBase 3 the E340 is excellent at motion detection. Something Ring struggled with or just couldn't to do at all. I live on busy street with vehicles and pedestrians and I only want notifications and motion detection about humans and pets. The E340 only records what I tell it to. At first I just used battery power and with all of the settings maxed, it drained about 10% or more a day. That wasn't going to work for me, so I hardwired it with new 18 ga. wires and a new 24V 40VA transformer and so far it's been keeping the battery charged. Once I hardwired it, I did a reset by going into the doorbell settings in the app and go to General/About Device/Reset Device. I had to go through the “adding a new device” setup process again and then chose hardwired for power. It tested my transformer to make sure it's compatible with the doorbell. I see a plug icon in the app now for the doorbell power instead of just a battery. I wish that when you hardwire the doorbell camera, it wouldn’t need the battery anymore. But so far the new 24V 40VA transformer has kept it charged. For a doorbell chime I use the HomeBase 3 and a separate eufy plug-in chime add-on. They are on separate levels so when someone pushes the doorbell button I can hear it on both floors of our house and on my phone. The video quality during the day has been great and the night color vision is clear and detailed if someone is at the door. If there's someone 20'+ away it gets pretty grainy, but recording detail that far away isn't really what the doorbell camera is for. positives: being subscription free, local video storage, wireless, solar charging options, higher resolution cameras, fairly easy setup, a nice app, and lot's of camera models to choose from. Bugs: Watching an event video can be frustrating sometimes. It will start and play fine, but if you want to pause rewind or fast forward, it sometimes will freeze or glitch. I'm hoping an app or firmware update fixes this eventually. Even with a few bugs, the E340 Doorbell plus the HomeBase 3 has proven to be a much better doorbell/security camera setup. I would never go back to Ring. Eufy has been more reliable and advanced in so many ways. In fact I also picked up a couple eufy outdoor S340 solar powered cameras and love them.

The Eufy E340 Video Doorbell is slated as one of the most advanced and user-friendly video doorbells on the market. As a discerning technology specialist, I had high expectations for this product, and it did not disappoint. The ability to run battery powered or wired makes it incredibly versatile, accommodating a wide range of installation scenarios. In my experience, setting up the doorbell using the Eufy App was straightforward, even without any prior knowledge of smart home technology. One of the standout features of this device is its person and package recognition capabilities. As someone who often works from home, I found this feature to be invaluable. It significantly reduces false alarms by recognizing familiar faces and alerting me only when truly important events occur, such as packages arriving or unexpected visitors at my doorstep. The app also allows for customizable settings, so you can adjust the sensitivity of these notifications to suit your needs. The video quality is crisp and clear, making it easy to identify individuals or package contents even from a distance. Additionally, night vision mode provides excellent visibility in low-light conditions, ensuring that you never miss any activity around your doorstep. The two-way audio feature allows for seamless communication with whoever is at the door, further enhancing the overall user experience. I also liked the bright lights that come on when it is recording at the bottom of the unit, it makes visibility around the door easier as I do not have a down-facing light near my door. Installation was surprisingly simple, as I was able to reuse the wires from my old school doorbell and the ring 1 I wanted to replace. This was an easy solution, and had I wanted to run it via battery that would have been simple as well. The Eufy E340 integrated seamlessly with these existing components (Such as the bell inside the house) and operated flawlessly after installation. I also chose to use the bracket to allow for a more forward facing view as my doorbell is perpendicular to my front walkway. Overall, the Eufy E340 Video Doorbell is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, feature-packed smart home device. Its person and package recognition capabilities, coupled with clear video quality and easy installation process make it a top contender in the competitive video doorbell market. I highly recommend this product to both tech enthusiasts and those new to the world of smart home technology alike.

Easy to set up and very convenient to use. The dual cameras provide a clear view of both visitors and packages, and the 2K video quality is sharp day and night. I like the flexibility of having both wired and battery options, and the Wi-Fi connection has been reliable. Overall, it feels well made and works exactly as expected.

Great doorbell no subscription or cloud service and when I had Google or Nest cameras and doorbell you have to get subscription and cloud services to get all the features and it was $120 a year then it went up to $200 a year by 06/2026 so I decided no more on subscription or cloud services and found Eufy has no subscription or clouds service and get more stuff or the same as a subscription service or cloud service so I started off with a Eufy NVR bullet cameras and started to build and replace all my Google or Nest cameras as I went along and I even got the WiFi module that connects to the NVR system so all my WiFi or wireless cameras and doorbells are in one area and go up to 16 cameras combined WiFi ,wireless, doorbells,Poe hard wired cameras and also up to 32 sensors and later will update hard drive to a 12 or 16 hard drive to last the recordings but right now on a 2 terabyte it only when gets full will only delete the oldest recordings so not the hold thing of recordings unless you format the system and note fyi always format the hard drive even know that it’s new and you just got it it helps and make sure it’s running correctly, but anyway love the Eufy system and customer support from Eufy have been a great help with anything trouble shooting or questions or how to do something so I give EUFY 1 to 10 I say a 12 with my experience with them.

Got this door cam to replace my google nest cam as the charging port stopped working and would no longer charge. I decided to buy the eufy doorcam as i already own their outdoor home securty cameras and i loved them. ive had no issues so far with the door camera, night time you can see clearly with no issues and having dual cameras you can see whats infront and down below. Best of all if you have the basestation there is no monthly subscription as the videos are saved locally which is always a plus since google nest does not offer that.

Great combination of features with 2K resolution, and dual cameras. Especially important to me is the 8 GB of local storage that means no monthly subscriptions required. I don't have to keep paying for this every month during it's lifetime. Also, with the wired connection I don't have to replace batteries at additional cost and inconvenience. Color night vision is a nice feature as well.

Awesome dual doorbell camera, exactly what I needed for my home. The dual camera identify packages and humans without those fees that other companies charge you. I have other eufy security cameras and they are the best. Only downside is that depends on your settings and installation location they constantly motion detection could drain your battery, just make sure you set the doorbell on a specific location with human and package settings and your battery will last longer. I definitely recommend this Eufy doorbell camera. Great quality image and great camera features.

This is far superior to the Ring Doorbell camera I replaced it with. I love the dual cameras. The issue I have is my porch is really a just a large step set inward, so I have a little walls to the left and right of the door. While the ring camera could capture who was walking up (but it missed people constantly) and it would not capture the package on the porch due to the angle. The field of view was narrower as well. Someone could walk along the front of my house and bend down and be out of the view of the ring camera and grab whatever was on the porch. With the Eufy E340, the camera pointing down gets 95% of my porch step and has wider field of view for the walkway up to my porch which is important due to the side walls. So, there isn't any areas out of view. It has captured me and several others already in the few days I've had it and it hasn't missed anyone. It offers all the important things for FREE that Ring makes you buy their subscription plan to get access to. Love the 2K video quality as well. It's super sharp. There is an HDR option too you can enable if your porch is shaded. It will brighten up the picture. My porch is shaded from the sun 80% of the day so that is very helpful. Lots of features in the app to customize the experience. Again, for free, unlike Ring. My only issue is that it's hard to mount this to vinyl siding which is where my doorbell wiring is. I wish they offered a mount that would make if flush over siding, but carefully screwing it in so it sits flush. Also, if you have to use the electrical twist caps there is really nowhere for those to fit in. If they had a slightly large wedge mount with opens spaces in the gaps and notches for the wiring to stick out to be hooked up, that would resolve the issue. I had to cut a larger hole in my siding and shove them in there. I do feel the need to caulk around the doorbell mount now to protect that opening as I don't feel it's sealed due to how it had to be mounted on the siding.

Eufy doesn’t suffer from the same issues that ring and Google does. You don’t have to pay to view your footage, battery life is outstanding even in high activity areas, priced very fairly, and the dual camera setup is brilliant for seeing packages on your doorstep. On top of all of that the install is as easy as it gets, I would highly recommend eufy to anyone that truly wants the best home security solution possible.

Best doorbell I've bought so far. I've tried Ring, Blink, and Arlo, and this has been the best one of all so far. I love the night vision and clarity of the 2K resolution, especially during the day, and to top it off, it has a spotlight for better clarity at night on the bottom of the doorbell. No subscription is required as it comes with 8GB of local storage that records up to almost a month; just manually delete old videos.

Bought this to replace my Ring, which I got tired of paying a monthly subscription for since they kept increasing the price. Sooooo glad I did as I absolutely love this one way more. The dual cameras are a game changer. I get notified that a package was delivered or picked up, which is amazing. I tell everyone to get one of these because I've been so satisfied with mine.

Best one out there. We've used ring, Google, and basic home cameras. This is high quality video, full view points, package tracking, easy app access, loud outdoor speaker and high quality sound coming back through. It's the best.
