About this product
2012 from the UK-based Indie pop-sters. The follow-up to Fanfarlo's 2009 debut album, Reservoir, was recorded by Ben H Allen (Deerhunter, Animal Collective) during a six week session at Bryn Derwen, a studio located in a remote former slate quarry in Wales. InchRooms Filled with Light was a phrase I found in an old notebook,Inch says Fanfarlo's singer and songwriter Simon Balthazar of the title to the band's second album. InchTo me it summed something up, creation, not creation of the world, but what we do as people. It seems like creating rooms and filling them with light is a very modern, fundamental human activity, creating little worlds. It resonates with the whole experience of making art or music.Inch

![Farny Frankova - French Cello Music - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/ddbcf07c-c40c-41d0-9aea-77d36596dfd8.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
This is a beautiful album of French impressionistic works for cello and piano. Along with some standards are some wonderful, less often played works by Lili Boulanger. American cellist Natasha Farny has performed with the Boston Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic, and several orchestras throughout New York. Solo and chamber music tours include appearances in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Brazil, and nationally at Chicago's Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, Brooklyn's Bargemusic InchHere and NowInch Series, and Florida's BIG ARTS Sanibel series. Nationally, Ms. Farny has performed live on radio programs including Chicago's InchLive from WFMTInch and is a regular guest at WXXI's InchLive from HochsteinInch series in Rochester, New York. This season, her duo Ekstasis will perform at Merkin Hall, Bard College, and Saugerties Pro Musica. She has been appointed to numerous summer festivals including the Sewanee Music Festival, the National Music Festival (MD), and the Colorado Music Festival and during the year, teaches at the School of Music at SUNY Fredonia.

When FVNERALS unveiled their debut full-length InchThe LightInch in the summer of 2014, the duo in truth embarked on a journey that would lead them into an ever-growing musical darkness. FVNERALS came into being when singer and bass player Tiffany Ström met guitarist and songwriter Syd Scarlet in the southern English seaside resort Brighton in 2013. Their joining of creative forces resulted in the formation of a dark doom act that also reaches out to and draws from ambient, drone, and a pinch of post-rock to complement what constitutes a particularly sinister and heavy sound. FVNERALS' first sign of life was the self-released EP InchThe HoursInch (2013), which was soon followed by InchThe LightInch. In 2015, FVNERALS returned with the second EP InchThe PathInch and relocated to Glasgow, Scotland where they started working on their sophomore album. When InchWoundsInch hit the scene in 2016, it sparked relentless live activities across Europe in each following year until the pandemic shut everything down. Compared to previous records, FVNERALS have taken an even less optimistic approach to songwriting on their latest masterpiece InchLet the Earth Be SilentInch. This also means that their third album is an artistic gift of beautiful darkness.
