Formed during the vibrant 90s, Fatal Embrace has been a pioneering force in the Swedish underground death metal scene. The band made their debut with "Shadow Souls Garden," which garnered critical acclaim. Their second album, "Hail Down Deep," is now finally seeing the light of day 26 years after it's predecessor. Last year's "Manifestium Infernalis" marked the band's third album and continued their evolution in the genre. The new , "Hail Down Deep," has been remixed and remastered by the band, revisiting the original 1998 recordings that were previously shelved and left unreleased. The vocals have been re-recorded by Henrik Serholt (then the drummer, now the vocalist). Fatal Embrace about Hail Down Deep It had taken a really long time. Or at least it felt long for us, for Candlelight Records to our debut album Shadowsoul's Garden. So, when it finally came out in November of 1997 we went back into the studio just a few months later and recorded our second album Hail Down Deep. This time around we knew what to expect and what was going to happen when we went into the studio. Christian Silver (then producer now our drummer) was going to haunt us relentlessly about keeping time and getting our playing abilities up to the standard of our peers in the genre. So we went in there with a mission. To record a close to perfect album. A bold mission statement some would say, but it kept us motivated. Hail Down Deep was recorded mixed and mastered in March of 1998 and was scheduled to be released later that year. As it turned out though, we had started playing with other bands at the time. Andreas had joined Sundown with Christian Silver and members from Cemetary and Tiamat. Manne would later go on to join Cemetery and later Beseech. Henric started singing with Lothlorien and Tommy joined Eternal Lies. So Hail Down Deep was left unreleased as we all moved on with other bands a
