Fatal Embrace - Manifestum Infernalis - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Formed during the vibrant 90s, Fatal Embrace has been a pioneering force in the Swedish underground death metal scene. The band made their debut with InchShadow Souls Garden,Inch which garnered critical acclaim. Their second album, InchHail Down Deep,Inch is now finally seeing the light of day 26 years after it's predecessor. Last year's InchManifestium InfernalisInch marked the band's third album and continued their evolution in the genre. The new , InchHail Down Deep,Inch has been remixed and remastered by the band, revisiting the original 1998 recordings that were previously shelved and left unreleased. The vocals have been re-recorded by Henrik Serholt (then the drummer, now the vocalist). Fatal Embrace about Hail Down Deep It had taken a really long time. Or at least it felt long for us, for Candlelight Records to our debut album Shadowsoul's Garden. So, when it finally came out in November of 1997 we went back into the studio just a few months later and recorded our second album Hail Down Deep. This time around we knew what to expect and what was going to happen when we went into the studio. Christian Silver (then producer now our drummer) was going to haunt us relentlessly about keeping time and getting our playing abilities up to the standard of our peers in the genre. So we went in there with a mission. To record a close to perfect album. A bold mission statement some would say, but it kept us motivated. Hail Down Deep was recorded mixed and mastered in March of 1998 and was scheduled to be released later that year. As it turned out though, we had started playing with other bands at the time. Andreas had joined Sundown with Christian Silver and members from Cemetary and Tiamat. Manne would later go on to join Cemetery and later Beseech. Henric started singing with Lothlorien and Tommy joined Eternal Lies. So Hail Down Deep was left unreleased as we all mov

It seems like aeons ago that we took our first steps into the unknown and formed Fatal Embrace back in 1992. The Swedish death metal scene was young and we knew we had to be a part of it. From day one we gave it all we had and little to nothing else seemed important. Tape trading and rehearsals kept us busy until we went into Studiomega in 1994 to record our first demo InchScars in dismal iconsInch. We sent it to a few labels and within days we got a phone call from Lee Barrett at Candlelight Records offering us a record deal. We were huge fans of those old Emperor and Opeth albums that they had released so we were more than happy to join their roster of now iconic bands. Fast forward to 2022 and we find ourselves making new music together again. We're not teenagers in a brand new musical genre anymore but we are hungrier than ever and super excited to re- our debut album Shadowsouls' Garden on Black Lion Records and to have it be made available to those who weren't around back then. This re- has been remastered by Christian Silver who recorded and mixed the original album back in 1996. Christian is also a permanent member of Fatal Embrace now as Henric Serholt has stepped up as our lead vocalist. The album cover has also been given a well-deserved update by Simon Bossert. He really captured the feel of the old album cover but made the new cover look the way we could have only dreamed back in 1996. Included in this re- are 3 bonus tracks from our 1994 demo Scars in dismal icons. It was only released on cassettes and most of them were sent to record labels, fellow bands in the genre, and die-hard tape traders around the world. It's a real rarity in the melodic death metal scene. Album Tracks 1. Our Rotten Thirst 2. Path of Virtues Shade That Tepid to 3. Well of Starclouds 4. Shadowsouls Garden 5. Bloods Icon 6. Entombed's 2003 inferno burns anew. Remastered and reignited, this definitive edition unleashes one of the band's dirtiest, most aggressive, and groove-soaked records - where gritty riffs, doom-laden heaviness, and punk-edged energy collide. Produced and mixed by Per Gunnefeldt (Fireside, also associated with Viagra Boys), the album now returns with a powerful new remaster by Magnus Lindberg (Redmount Studios, known for The Hellacopters, Cult of Luna, Refused, Alcest, and more). The result is sharper, denser, and more forceful than ever - preserving the grainy guitars and thick low-end rumble that define Entombed's trademark sound. A longtime fan favorite and a bold detour in their catalogue, Inferno showcases Entombed's ability to weave raw death 'n' roll power with punk grit and a heavy, sinister swing.
