The FortiGate 40F is a fanless desktop next-generation firewall built for small offices and branch locations. It is powered by the Fortinet SP4 security processor and delivers 5 Gbps firewall, 1 Gbps IPS, 800 Mbps NGFW and 600 Mbps threat protection throughput, with IPsec VPN up to 4.4 Gbps. Connectivity includes 5x GE RJ45 ports (1x WAN/DMZ, 3x LAN, 1x FortiLink) plus 1x USB. Secure SD-WAN and a wireless and switch controller are built into FortiOS at no extra cost, letting the unit manage up to 16 FortiAP access points and 8 FortiSwitch switches from one console. This bundle includes the FortiGate 40F appliance plus 1-year FortiGuard Enterprise Protection, which covers everything in Unified Threat Protection (IPS, antivirus, cloud sandboxing, application control, inline CASB, URL, DNS and video filtering, anti-botnet) plus data loss prevention (DLP), attack surface security rating, AI-based inline malware prevention, and IoT device detection and vulnerability correlation.
