![K. Penderecki - Musica Da Camera - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/24122eca-ca7f-48e7-a47a-9dacf2885712.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
The Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki used to write chamber music even as a student in Cracow. He was writing the chamber music works for himself, then already an accomplished violinist, and his fellow students (The title InchSonata for Violin and PianoInch from 1953 has only recently been published.). A specialty of these early works are Penderecki's inventions with which he altered the sound of the stringed instruments, indeed almost to the point of being completely unrecognizable. With the new sounds he introduced, he achieved effects both frightening and rough as well as a bewitching, irredescent lyricism a broad scale of sounds and colors which no one would have thought possible with stringed instruments. After the composition of the InchString Quartet No. 1Inch chamber music receded into the background. The next quartet appeared eight years later, and the following pieces for single instruments were mostly Inchgifts of friendshipInch for the outstanding interpreters of his instrumental concertos with orchestra. Only recently, in 1990, has Penderecki turned again intensively to chamber music, composing the strongly virtuoso InchString TrioInch which is also included on this CD. The interpreters of this production are renowned musicians and, being either Polish or having lived and worked in Poland, very familiar with the composer's works.

Limited edition of 1000 numbered copies on red & black marbled180-gram audiophile vinyl. Exhorder are one of the pioneers of the groove-oriented thrash metal sound. After the success of their debut album Slaughter In The Vatican, they released their second studio album The Law in 1992. The album was produced by Tina Shoemaker, who also worked with Queens of the Stone Age, Sheryl Crow, and Emmylou Harris amongst others. The Law includes the track InchInto The VoidInch, a cover of the classic Black Sabbath song. The band reunited in 2008.
![Barry / Finucane - Irish Holidays - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/169d5b68-a2e8-4328-ab53-a3b2ed7c2c16.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Ireland is not only the green island, but also the land of legends and singers. All this is reflected on the second GENUIN album by the Irish clarinetist John Finucane. The exceptional wind player brings together music from his homeland written from 1911 to the present day. Without exception, these are genuine discoveries, and not only because of the world premiere recordings and works written for John Finucane himself. Even in the most modern of times, the magic of the past is still alive, and contemporary musical language is inspired by the spirit of the Irish harpists from Stanford to Bax, from Ferguson to Trimble, this album is an Irish blessing! John Finucane has been Principal Clarinet with Ireland's RTE National Symphony Orchestra since 1995, and has also been active as a soloist, chamber musician, and conductor in Ireland and abroad. Described by Gramophone Magazine as Inchan outstanding virtuosoInch on the of his album 'Clarinet Variations,' he has worked with the Ulysses Ensemble, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, and Irish Film Orchestras. He appears regularly on radio and television programs, and he has a particular affinity to chamber music, working with many groups across Europe.
