Q: Whats the difference between 1000 and 1010
A: the 1010 has the magnetic stand, the 1000 has the ball.
A: That is incorrect you need a truck gps. I recommend getting a garmin truck gps. Garmin gives you a vehicle profile to choose from and allows you to create a custom vehicle profile as well. However you do need to know the gross weight, axle weights, number of axles and the vehicles length, width and height. Buy selecting the bus profile garmin will use the designated bus routes. You will also need to pay attention to low clearance signs. Garmin is pretty good but never soley trust a gps its just a tool. Hope this helps
