I am heavily invested into the Garmin ecosystem (Epix Gen 2, Edge Explore 2, Index S2) and like to keep all my metrics in one place. Honestly, when the Index Sleep Monitor was released I was not that excited as I had hoped for a whoop like band with all day tracking. However, I wanted to add the sleep monitor for more *accurate Body Battery results. The band is comfortable but I must move around a lot as it has slipped off a few times. I did the sizing as suggested by Garmin and even tried doing it tighter. In terms of sleep data, it's not as good as my Oura Gen 3 (which honestly isn't that good either). The insight provided is also not very useful. If I could sync my Oura data to Garmin Connect I probably wouldn't use the index sleep monitor. If you don't have any other sleep trackers and are already in the Garmin ecosystem it might be worth it but if you have already have a sleep tracker I would probably pass on this.

Very comfortable with reasonable accurate metrics. The alarm must set each day and only setup and activated through the garmin app. Otherwise the alarm is nice way to wake up. Best thing is it is not invasive - like a watch - you dont notice it’s there!!

I have been using my index sleep monitor for a few weeks now. Its fits well, works great and perfect alternative to wearing the watch. Battery last pretty much all week. My only complaint would be the band can sometimes be a little itchy or bothersome. I have taken it off a couple of times cause it was annoying me in my sleep. I am looking for an alternative for the band. Other then that the device does work great!
