Q: Where is the air intake and out flow?
A: Air intake is on the back thru the filter and goes out thru the top.
A: Yes. Always keep the filter clean . Just plain water over the sink should be fine. Also, keep the water container clean, wash it over time.
Q: Not getting any water coming out ran for 3hr and opened it up not cold when running 50lz
A: Probably a defective unit..if it's running and u have the humidifier set to a lower temp then it should be pulling the moisture from the air as intended.. I personally have tried 2 of these units.. the first worked great for a total of 3 days then stopped pulling the moisture from the air and ran for a week straight.never collecting another drop of moisture...returned.. got shipped another one and that one never pulled a drop a moisture from the air.. after running it also for a week.. also got returned..I went back to using my perfectly working 7 year old unit(also GE) Good Luck
Q: What is the fitting size of the drain hose connection?
A: Its the same size as a standard garden hose i believe.. they have drain hose hookup kits at HomeDepot/Lowes (washer hookup kit) comes with 2 hoses i believe..
Q: Would be helpful to know what the ideal room size this unit is estimated to work in.
