This is the nicest mid-size freezer I have seen or owned. It arrived in perfect condition, looks great in the home, so far works perfectly. I am thankful to find something aesthetically pleasing. Also, I checked the kWh's and it uses very little electricity!

Handsome freezer and big enough for bulky items. Keep meats fresh in the freezer!

There are only 2 of us so this freezer is a good size for us. I shopped around for a long time and I always came back to this model because the reviews were so much better than others. We wanted to spend a little less, but like they say, you get what you pay for, so I am glad we spent a little more to get a better quality freezer. I looked over the specs and manual on the GE site to make an informed decision. We got this on sale from Best Buy online and they delivered it. Like others, I noticed the open space in the back but I think that's for air circulation. I may place a piece of screen over it to keep out the dust. We have this a little under 2 months now and it seems to be functioning good so far. The inside is silver and there are 2 narrow baskets, most freezers only have one. There are no shelves except one on the right side. We have most of our stuff in Foodsaver bags and we group them together and put them in plastic bags labeled with what's inside. We may pick up some plastic bins at the dollar store. We put our frozen turkey on a thick foil sheet on the bottom. I would be very careful with something that heavy, making sure to place it gently. I think the inside can dent if something like that makes an impact. The light that it has is an "on" indicator light. It's a green light on the lower front. Fortunately we have a ceiling light just above the freezer because it doesn't have a light inside. The top closes quickly, so you may want to hold it while it's closing. This freezer requires defrosting according to GE, maybe every 6-12 months depending on the ice build up. I haven't defrosted it yet, but I think I may need to in the late spring-early summer. I would recommend this freezer.

I found this freezer on the Best Buy website and decided that it was just what I was looking for in terms of price and performance. This freezer is spacious and is extremely quiet and keeps food solidly frozen. It didn't take long to get used to not hearing the sound of the freezer motor. I would recommend it to others.

The freezer works great. Fits into a small space and holds a ton of items. Love the light display showing if electric current is coming to freezer or no green light means power is out on freezer.

This freezer is fine for storing small quantities of food. It is probably half the size of my previous chest freezer, so I do find it a little small, but that is probably just my own experience. It is quite light, so don't lean on it before you fill it with food or you'll push it across the floor. The cord provided is also a little short, and I had to buy a heavy duty extension cord to reach the plug.There is also an open area, about 8" x 6" in the back of the freezer where the cord comes out. There are some holes above the open area that makes it appear that a small panel is missing. I checked with GE however, and they said there is no panel to cover this area; it is intended to be open. I don't like this open area because my freezer sits outside and leaves and dirt could blow in. Other than these issues, it seems fine. I would probably recommend this freezer even with the two issues I've mentioned (short cord and open panel in back).

My inlaws already owned this freezer. Of course it is older but it is by the same maker and size. It worked well for a family of 6. So it was a no brainer for me. We are a family of 4 and have so much room. I could not be more happier with it! It is quiet, roomy and got cold within an hour of plugging it in.

Love it! Fits well in small garage, and holds a great deal. Adjustment from low to high freeze—can maintain items in freezer on low in solid frozen form; in sum does not require high setting to maintain solid frozen form. From my observation, the freezer runs quietly and again does not require high setting to maintain frozen form. Great purchase!

Have had this unit for only a couple of weeks now and it's been functioning well. It arrived a little earlier than the store's estimate and was easily transported home in the back of our minivan after having it loaded with curbside pickup. It is the right size to fit in the space we had for it and wasn't very heavy (my son and I easily moved it downstairs). It holds a lot more than we thought it would, so we're slowly filling it. Haven't had it long enough to give it a rating above 4.

Perfect size, compact and looks nice. Got up to temperature quickly and is very quiet when running.

I read the reviews first and they were right. This fridge is quiet and keeps the food freezer like it is supposed to. I wish it had a light inside but this is a small freezer and fits great in the garage, not taking up too much room.

The freezer is super quiet and the lid opens and closes very nicely. It works really great all in all for our home. Tons of extra frozen storage for us.

I love the freezer, just what I wanted the right size for what I am using it for and it looks great.i did have to wait awhile but it was worth the wait, and I wish it had a cover in the back but I still love the freezer, and was at a great price thanks Best Buy.

Bought this freezer mostly to store fish. It is not too big and fits well into a smaller space. Runs quietly and gets cold quickly. I wish it had more trays, has only 2, and no interior lighting. Otherwise this is a very good buy.

I really like it a lot. It's the perfect size for my husband & myself. I love that it has 2 baskets. Although I do wish it had some lift out baskets to sit on the bottom to make it easier to reach those items. I just have my bags of frozen veggies still in the plastic grocery bags that I lift out when I need something. The only issue I have with it is, as I read on one other review, the frost builds up very quickly in the area near the hinges.

This freezer is huge and works great. Didn't take long at all to get down to temp and it's really spacious.

Very nice fit long and thin with a lot of space. Comes with two storage bins and keeps all the items cold.

silent operation, good performance, big capacity. but once I received the damaged good so had to wait another 2 weeks to get the new one. Big thanks to the delivery guy who found the defect for me when it was unpacked.

This freezer is just the right size to store extra items from our regular freezer. Extremely quiet and keeps consistent cold temps.
