After a thorough search online for specific induction ranges with a convection oven, I settled on this model after a price reduction to ~$2700. So far this product has operated flawlessly, both the induction features of the burners (I never had the "nearly instant boil" experience prior!) and a great convection feature for even heating within the oven space. I've been cooking bread daily for the past month or so, and have had no problems with the oven heating and retaining that heat, and while a bit slow to reach the upper temps, it maintains temps evenly and returns to the set temp quickly if the door has been opened. I also added a baking stone to the bottom rack, which allows me to bake bare on its surface. I've also used the "proofing" setting for the oven, which maintains a fairly constant high 70's to low 80's temperature, which is good for warm proofing doughs and encouraging the critters! The one feature I would love on this oven is steam generating. To overcome this, I put a small baking tray filled with river pebbles and rocks and maybe 400 or 500 grams of water, which generates a bit of steam for baking breads. I've not tried any of the probe features for either the range top or the oven. The electronics and touch controls to this point have functioned perfectly - albeit without testing the precision cooking feature or pobes. The forward control panel is a nice feature as well, and means no reaching over the stove top to make adjustments to temperatures or other controls. In the "I wished they would have thought about this more" department: *The stove top levels up or down to match the counter surfaces adjacent by turning the leveling feet at the base front and back. These -like most appliances-are nearly impossible to get at without pulling the unit out first, making the process very difficult to accomplish. *The escutcheons/trim around the top surface are dust and grime traps both front and back. This truly could have used a bit more thought considering how nice the appliance is, overall. Most of the cooking I'm currently doing is bread baking, and this oven has been marvelous so far! I can get two large dutch ovens on the rack at one time, or as many Items as I can place on the baking stone. I've noted the oven does a great job of heating when fully loaded, and has no problem maintaining the proper heat setting. Something else I accidently discovered - and to my delight - is that induction works through silicone! Meaning, I can put a silicone pad down on an element, set my magnetic pot on the pad, and still get induction heating without surface scratches to the glass top. Super!! I now have silicone pads for each burner to prevent pot-scratches and still cook on them! Nice! Admittedly I'm still in the "honeymoon" phase of ownership, but it has been a great experience so far, and if the quality holds up to my use and demands, will be a one-time purchase for the rest of my life!

Don't be a fool like me. I bought all GE products. I was told they were one of the best. Guess what? I've had 2 washing machines waiting on a third my stove. That cost a fortune is broke and they haven't even said they were going to fix it and my microwave. This will be my third, the first to burnt the service technicians as they were taking them out of my house, they were so hot. Supposedly, they have shorts. So when you read this review, g e will not back up their own warranty, they have not called or anything else. All they did is send some appliance guy out here, and he says, can't fix it.They'll send you a new one in 7 2 ten days don't be treated like me. I wished I could find a good consumer attorney to take on this case. 'cause GE is selling broke junk, thank yo
