Q: Is there any sound out for supporting speakers or output to an amp or other sound device?
A: undefined
Q: Is the Windows 11 license included?
A: Yes, Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and after doing a fresh install of it, it's automatically activated by digital license.
A: Mine did not come with any free items. I bought it through Best Buy. Maybe you have to get it directly from Geekom to get a free item.
Q: Is the storage expandable? How many slots for memory and or storage?
A: The storage is expandable in the sense that you'd have to replace the pre-installed NVMe drive because there's only one storage slot. The mainboard's got two (2) memory slots, each pre-installed with a 16GB stick for 32GB total.
A: Yes there are 6 USB ports, 4 in front & 2 on the back side.
Q: Anyone have long term experience with either this brand or this specific model?
A: Hi, GEEKOM After-sales: Three-year warranty, including one year of free replacement and two years of free repair. We have enough confidence in our products to have customers use them long-term.
Q: How many monitors does this support?
A: Well, it has two HDMI ports and two USB4 ports, so I'm guessing 2+2=4 total. Of course, my math is a little rusty.
Q: does it come with mounting bracket for monitor
A: Yes, it does.

My oh my, how advanced PC's have gotten in form and function over the decades. This little engine that could, can and does much more than my giant 10-year-old desktop ever did. It looks so elegant, taking cues from the Mac mini. I'm astonished by how fast and quiet it is. To top it off, a 3-year warranty is included! I would've given it 5 stars were it not for the lack of an extra M.2 slot for storage and for the difficulty of reconnecting the WiFi card's wires should you decide to open it up like I did. A fresh, clean reinstall of Windows 11 is highly recommended.

I recently retired my ancient i7 desktop, which was falling apart and struggling with modern applications. I needed a machine capable of handling both my professional and personal workloads, including productivity apps (Outlook, Teams), development IDEs, and CAD software like KiCad and Fusion 360. As this is my primary daily driver, performance was key. I purchased the Geekom A8 Max (Silver/Black) around Thanksgiving, and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived four days earlier than expected. After using it for three weeks, I am genuinely amazed by the performance. The Hardware: The 1TB NVMe storage is blazing fast. While 1TB is plenty for my OS and apps, I rely on a large NAS for bulk storage, so this setup is perfect. The 32GB DDR5 RAM handles everything I throw at it, and it’s great to know I can upgrade the modules later if needed. Physically, the unit is sleek, fits perfectly on my desk, and runs very quietly. Connectivity & Power Note: I use a Dell docking station connected via the rear USB4 port for my peripherals (keyboard, mouse, Ethernet). Important Note: While the dock can supply 100W PD via USB-C, I found that when the CPU maxes out, the PC loses power. I switched to using the supplied power adapter alongside the dock, and now everything is stable and rock-solid. Networking: The onboard WiFi is fast and stable, though I primarily use the Ethernet connection through my dock. The Software (Windows 11): The PC came preloaded with Windows 11 Pro. Setup was straightforward, but I have some gripes with the OS itself. Sleep mode is overly sensitive, often waking up for updates and refusing to go back to sleep. I miss the granular control of Windows 10; Windows 11 tends to obscure settings. I am considering switching to Linux in the future if these OS annoyances continue. Verdict: Despite my minor frustrations with Windows 11, the hardware itself is fantastic. It is a huge leap forward from my old desktop. I am glad I bought this. The performance-to-size ratio is amazing. Highly recommended!

I was not sure how well a minicomputer would work. My Max Mini cancelled all of my uncertainty. It's a great little computer for what I use it for. And the small size is great. I do not play games on it, so I cannot speak to that.
