Gibraltar Hardware - 14" 8-Lug Batter Side Snare Drum Hoop, Die-Cast Design for Crisper Tone & Stronger Rimshots

Looking to take your snare drum’s tone and feel to the next level? The Gibraltar SC-1408BSD 14" 8-Lug Die-Cast Batter Side Snare Drum Hoop is designed to do exactly that—and more. Whether you’re playing in a studio session, recording your next track, or hitting the stage for a live show, this heavyweight hoop will bring out the very best in your snare. Unlike lighter triple-flanged hoops, the SC-1408BSD is made from solid die-cast metal, offering significantly more mass and stability. That extra weight does more than just look good—it dries out overtones, tightens up your tone, and gives your snare a focused, controlled sound that’s perfect for modern recording and high-definition live environments. You’ll immediately hear the difference, especially in your rimshots and cross-sticks, which will come through louder, clearer, and more defined. This hoop isn’t just about sound—it’s built to last. With its chrome-plated finish and durable structure, it adds not only strength to your drum but also a sleek and professional aesthetic. Installation is easy, and once mounted, it helps maintain even tension across all eight lugs, giving you more stable tuning and consistent response. Whether you're a gigging musician, studio professional, or simply a drummer who loves refining their tone, the Gibraltar SC-1408BSD is a high-quality, no-compromise upgrade that will make your snare sound better, feel better, and perform better. Note: This listing includes the batter side hoop only. Snare-side hoop is sold separately.
