Gloom in the Corner - Trinity - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2009 . Octuplex is split roughly in half between Harmonia/Voigt-style chuggers and sweeping swirls of instantly recognizable dronage, familiar to fans of Campbell's extensive contributions to Vibracathedral Orchestra, Sunroof! And others. His interest in Techno comes out on 'Caustic Roe' and 'Muscle Adductor', which neatly compile the influence of recent minimal jam innovations with piles of synth and effects noise, lending the beat-driven tracks a rough, unfussy style. Album Tracks 1. Caustic Roe 2. Mügik Churn 3. Aggro Vault 4. Pilgrim Sunburst 5. Sweet Spraint 6. Radial Hermaphrodite 7. Muscle Adductor 8. Hot Toxer

The Gloom in the Corner - Royal Discordance (jewel case) Close your eyes and picture this... An apocalyptic alternate reality leaves Australia under the iron fist of the despotic King Baphicho for the second time. In defiance, revolution has begun brewing with Clara Carne-a member of the InchUnholy TrinityInch-at the helm of the resistance. All the while, the paths of an army from Heaven, a detective, and a disgraced ruler converge at an inflection point where Gun Fu shootouts, double-crosses, and drama ensue. This action is set to a soundtrack of inventive, insidious, and infectious metalcore by Melbourne's own The Gloom in the Corner Mikey Arthur [vocals], Jesse Abdurazak [guitar], Paul Musolino [bass], and Joshua Clinch[drums]. Sure, it could be fodder for an Anime epic, your new favorite NETFLIX series, or an open-world video game. However, this is the story told via The Gloom in the Corner's fourth full-length offering, Royal Discordance [SHARPTONE]. Album Tracks 1. The Problem with Apocalyptic Tyranny 2. You Didn't Like Me Then (You Won't Like Me Now) 3. Painkiller Soliloquy 4. Short Range Teleportation (A Guide to Guerrilla Warfare) 5. Nope (Hollow Point Elysium) 6. Angel's Wrath Whiskey 7. Shadow Rhapsody II 8. Assassination Run 9. That's Life (Carry Me Home) 10. Army of Darkness 11. A Quaver Through the Pale 12. A Walk Amongst the Poppy Fields

GLOOM earns a place in the pantheon of heavy music in closer proximity to timeless giants than forgettable clones. GLOOM represents honesty in it's glorious heaviness, philosophically and musically. The fact that Musicians Institute graduate Dante Dalton, the band's guitarist, has worked on film scores will come as no surprise after hearing the more cinematic moments within. Drummer Albert Born is a trained aerospace engineer; it would be both an easy joke to say that his propulsive pummeling gives the band a lift. Like the rest of his close friends in the band, bassist Jason Sayell offers a true emotional outpouring. Their music is deadly serious and cathartic, while the guys are fun loving and easygoing in everyday life. Album Tracks 1. Fallen 2. Perseus 3. Orbits 4. Cede 5. Coronation 6. Naught 7. 1% Empty 8. Appetence Hominae 9. Sub Umbral 10. *Them Bones (Alice in Chains Cover- Bonus)
