The SM-1 is a microphone shock mount designed for use with slim-line Heil Sound microphones such as the PR 20 and PR 22, featuring an 8-point flexible suspension system that helps isolate the microphone from vibrations transferred through a mic stand, boom, or desk mount. It absorbs and dampens vibrations from studio desks and consoles to reduce mechanical noise and minimize low-frequency rumble in recording environments. Equipped with standard 5/8" threading, it is compatible with a range of microphone mounts, stands, and mounting systems including the PL-2T, allowing straightforward integration into studio, broadcast, podcast, and other audio setups.
