The alias of remixer/producer Tony Moran and his friend Albert Cabrera, Latin Rascals teamed to develop a new process of making records creating re-edited versions of hit songs spliced together to produce instant dance hits. This concept helped to usher in the freestyle era of music, buoyed by great lyrics, awesome melodies and bangin' beats. The hit making duo was contracted by Fever Records to write and produce a song for one of their new acts, The Cover Girls, resulting in InchShow Me,Inch a song that became Tony Moran's first Top 40 Gold record and lifted the freestyle genre to national recognition in 1986. In 1991, Moran conceived another smash for The Cover Girls titled InchFunk BoutiqueInch with the aid of co-producer Andy InchPandaInch Tripoli. Newly remastered.

Hiatt teamed up with multi-Grammy award winning artist and producer, Jerry Douglas and his band, The Jerry Douglas Band. The result of those sessions would be the album, Leftover Feelings. There's no drummer, yet these grooves are deep and true. And while the up-tempo songs are, as ever, filled with delightful internal rhyme and sly aggression, the Jerry Douglas Band's empathetic musicianship nudges Hiatt to performances that are startlingly vulnerable. In life, leftover feelings can remain unresolved. Explicated in a place of history, a place of comfort. A sacred place, if you believe the documentation of human expression to be a holy thing. Last year was tough. That's an understatement for certain. I have always felt lonely, but the irony of that is, I was not alone at all in that space. Everyone had lost something. As a means of keeping sane, I started to write songs. The inspiration was occurring from simple moments. I missed my friends. I missed my family. I felt unified in knowing that I was not on my own in that mentalityI realized that my heart was full of everything I loved and that would carry me forward for the time being. Eventually we would all get back to one another. Now that we are beginning to, I will be thrilled to share and play these songs for you.Inch
