Hisense - L9Q Triple Laser Smart UST Projector, 5000 Lumens, 80"-200", 4K UHD, DLP, IMAX Enhanced, Pantone Validated, HDR - Walnut

I replaced a LG G4 with this projector in our tv room. With the proper preparation (seriously invest in a solid short throw screen and window coverings) you too can have a cinema quality experience at home. Stunning colors, great blacks and the muscle to handle gaming (PS5) and sports without compromising picture quality. The wow factor when paired with my Sonos surrounds and a DB 820 player is just kind of unbelievable. The tech has progressed so rapidly that today, an average home consumer can save $ for 12-18 months, invest 10k and then achieve a theater level of quality in picture and sound without taking out a second mortgage or even needing to hire a high fidelity installation specialist.

For a flag ship 6400 dollar projector to have a dmd failure of the optics drive is unacceptable. Best Buy wont do anything, the bank wont do anything. Everyone tells me to send it to the manufacturer. Its 2 months old. Its a lemon. Give me a new one or take this thing back. Im not paying for this I made 1 payment. See the white dot on the screen it stays white. More pixels are turning white. I spend 6 hours to be looped through phone calls to get no where. Stand behind your product bestbuy. I'll be canceling my card. For a customer that's spent well over 20k at your store you lost a customer.

Wonderful UST projector. Top quality just projecting on wall. Imagine if there is a screen.

We replaced an Epson - LS800 4K PRO-UHD UST Projector, which I will redo my review for. The old projector was very loud and kept having issues with our Apple TV. Dark scenes were also very hard to see, even in the dark. Pros: Noise: Very quiet, can barely tell it's on, no loud fan start up or cooling periods Clarity/Sharpness/Color: Lots of options that help with poor black levels. Dark scenes are visible. Best I've ever seen for an UST. As good as most conventional TVs you see at the club stores Apps: Able to use the main apps like Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Disney+ without a separate device like apple tv or roku. Set Up: If you follow the directions, it is not hard. Read about the distance from wall and distance from bottom of screen. I found the manual adjustments better than auto Sound: As good as you can expect from a device versus an actual sound system Cons: (not really that big a deal) Price: Not cheap at all, but it seems like sometimes you get what you pay for. This is my 3rd UST and I've spent $2,000 & $2,500. The $5,000 this one cost me hurt the wallet more, but I'm not complaining about anything and can watch movies happily. If you can afford it, do it. Apps: If you don't want to use a separate device to stream, you can use the option of opening a browser and login through the internet. It's a little wonky but workable. For some reason, when using Prime, it has a glitch where it flickers every time you scroll over a movie. This can be avoided by timing how fast you scroll through titles. Very weird and specific to just Prime. Not enough to make me use an Apple TV or Roku SetUp: I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not reading up on the space requirements. I have a 120" screen in a low ceiling room and I had to chop off the legs of my entertainment system to make it fit. It was either that or stack in on some books. It's hardly a complaint though... I previously used the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 4K PRO-UHD UST projector and faced several issues with focus and overall picture quality. After switching to the Hisense L9Q, the difference has been remarkable. I’ve been using it for about a month now, and the experience has been exceptional—extremely satisfied so far.
