Jerald with the Geek Squad was wonderful! He was very helpful in showing me how to operate the system, as well as explaining how to add additional security cameras, etc. I will be using Best Buy Geek Squad for any future electronic purchases at Best Buy.

So I chose the service when I first started installing a ring security system in my house. The first installation was great The tech did everything correctly that I wanted and I told him I'd be using them again to finish off the security system at a later date. When that later date came I bought everything and scheduled everything so all the pieces would be available when they came out to do the install. The tech came out and looks like they had a trainee which was fine I had no problems with that, I told the tech what I wanted and the locations and they got busy promptly. While they were working they told me I couldn't place certain items on The brick of the house I reluctantly agreed to go ahead and install the solar panels on the fascia boards of the roof as you can see from the pictures that doesn't look very professional with the screws protruding that far out I was disappointed with that fact along with the fact that they didn't put the cameras where I wanted because when I first installed a few months back the cameras were available to put on the brick like I wanted them for some reason they didn't do that this time around after all I paid for the specialized service that will also be rated here shortly The cameras were installed but I wasn't happy with it ultimately. I decided after this fact to go ahead and cancel the service it wasn't worth it to me.

Not too pleased especially because all of the installations I paid for was not done but checked off as done in their system. I called customer care and they said they will call me back but from what they see the work was checked off as completed. I paid to get 2 cameras installed. One was a door bell cam (paid for) and the other an inside cam (paid for separately) I still have the inside cam sitting on my counter top in the kitchen.

Amazing!! Home devise sensor, every time the sensor detected a motion automatically your phone let you know.

The tech was excellent, he did a marvelous job. I am very pleased with his installation process.

The installer stated that he could not connect one of the door sensors, but left us with no alternative solution. However, he connected the sensor to an identical exterior door in the same room without an issue. I contracted for installation but it was not completed. What am I suppose to do?

The agent did not install the cameras and did not complete the repair, which was originally ordered on May 17, 2025. The agent had been at my house 4 times without completing the repairs.

The agent was very good and compassionate in the installation of the alarm system and sensors . The two things I did not like was for him to ask which one from the WiFi list was mine . It was clear from the text guide of Best Buy to prepare for the installation that I need to select my own WiFi connection and password because the Best Buy agent is not allowed to know our WiFi name and password . He did not ask for the password but he should not have asked for the WiFi user name based on the guide preparation from Best Buy itself . The other thing I did not like is that this is the second Best Buy staff to ask to use my bathroom . Next time, they need to use the restroom First in a restaurant like McDonald’s , jack in the box, or anywhere before they come to my home to use the bathroom . My bathroom is not for public use. I know that they are on the field all day long but I am sure they had a lunch break on a restaurant to eat and should have used the restaurant restroom to use .

Geek squad has for the most part been very helpful on installation and repairs. With installation of the Ring security system I felt like some of the work was a bit sloppy and rushed. He installed a few door sensors and had to reposition one which pulled paint off my door and left a bare spot and rough edge, along with where repositioned not securely adhere to door. That was frustrating. With the security panel itself I hardly got any instruction on how to work; I’ve had to figure out use myself and still am not sure why I can’t set by the panel and it have a delay for me to leave without going off when I open door to leave after setting away. I have a motion detector that is not registering any movement or giving any notification of movement when alarm set which seems pointless to have been apart of a package I bought from Best Buy. I also have the Wi-Fi extender still sitting in the box and was told not needed. Geek Squad and Total Tech membership is usually top notch assistance but this was somewhat disappointing

Wow ! I’m so very impressed with Best Buy’s installation services ! First I want to say that I know I’m getting points for this review but it truly has no bearing for what I’m conveying here. I’ve had several different installation services from Best Buy this year including the Installation and wall mounting of my Samsung TV. I’ve also had BestBuy install my Ring Security System as well as set up my Deco Wifi6 system. Each and every time without fail , the service men were professional , courteous and kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any installation service by Best Buy. Some of these installations took place months ago and I’ve not had one issue with any of the services provided me and I am grateful for each one. Good customer service is difficult to find these days and I’ve certainly found it with Best Buy. It’s what keeps me coming back. Thank you Best Buy ! I’ll be contacting you as soon as I’m ready with my next installation project !

Geek Squad installed our original doorbell camera. The gentlemen were on time, friendly and professional. They explained clearly what they were doing and how everything worked. They were so good we came back to Best Buy for the same services on our new home!

The agent did a great job installing every part of the security system for me. As he went through each step, he continued to explain to me what he was doing so that I knew how to troubleshoot anytime. He even provided me some tips and suggestions to keep it running smoothly.

They were able to fix my issue promptly, and ate knowledgeable and courteous. Sometimes you may find that the desk is empty, but tge wait is never too long because therebare always employees nearby to inform Geek Squad of customers waiting...

The unit was mounted and set up but knowing how to use the system is more detailed than the Geek Squad led us to believe. Everyone involved did a good job and were very polite but after they leave even though we purchased the $200.00 Geek Plan we are having trouble getting answers to our problems. A call or answer to our email would probably help us with the problems but it has been two weeks, we will be visiting Best Buy soon!

The Geek Squad installed my security system professionally, quickly, snd promptly. They arrived on time and cleaned up all the packaging material. They also gave me easily understood directions on how to operate and maintain the system. Highly recommend!
