Q: My portable AC is not releasing cold air
A: It's releasing cold air.
A: there is a rubber plug that may have come out of the drain. you do have to drain it occasionally, how often, depends on how humid the room is. the hose will stretch ou if you pull it and then retract back when stored.
A: you could vent thru your pet door, but a window works much better with the panel and hose provided. the cord is about 3' long. if using and extension cord, make sure it is thick enough to allow it to flow smoothly
Q: what size is the portable DUCT? can I buy an extension duct to lengthen the duct to the window?
A: i believe it is 4". i see no problem with adding to the exhaust hose
Q: Does the window kit work for crank out windows?
A: No. In addition I bought 2 units. I've had them for 20 days now. One of the units needs to be drained every hour. I contacted the manufacturer and they said I should build a reservoir to solve that problem I asked him if an external reservoir was necessary why was it not include or why do you not offer such a Product as an accessory? Best buy customer service said they may make an exception to their 15 day return policy. We shall see.
Q: DOES IT HAVE TO BE VENTED OUT A WINDOW I BOUGHT IT TO PUT IN AN INCLOSED FRONT DECK ON A BOAT?
A: The unit has be be vented to the outside to expel the warm air.
Q: Does the window installation kit work on windows that slide side to side?
A: Yes, the unit that I purchased was installed in a window that slides side to side. The exhaust plate will be placed in a vertical position instead of the standard horizonal position in the window.
