A: No, the heater is not quiet.
Q: How many square feet does it heat ? what size of room ?
A: We use it in a bedroom that is 12 x 15 and it keeps the room toasty warm.
Q: What is the wattage at the lowest and highest setting?
A: The manual states that low power is 900 watts and high power is 1500 watts. High power draws 12.5 amps. I use low power because my house wiring is old.
Q: Does the heater operate with batteries??
A: No, it only uses an electric cord for its power source. However, it has to touch a flat surface to work since it has a switch on the bottom that stops operation when elevated.
A: It costs about 20 cents an hour to run.
Q: Does it shut off after temp is reached then come back on

Once the thermostat has been set, the heater will turn off when it reaches the set temperature, and then will turn back on once the temperature falls below that level. A: It tells you to keep the heater three feet away from the wall and make sure there's nothing close to it in the front of the heater that is flammable
