This is so easy to use. I let my 13 year old niece use it in her room and she had no issues with operating it or on adding cleaner and emptying the dirty container. Dose such a great job and man i never knew how nasty my carpets were until i used this one time. I love it.

was the perfect size for the apartment I'm in.works very well and the pro heat drys the carpets in like 15-20 minutes. and the upholstery attachment works great on the furniture. was about to do my whole living room & bedroom plus the hallway within 2 hours and everything was dry and put back! the hoover is a great product. It was very easy to put together only two screws that had to attach the handle using philllips head screwdriver ( not in the box) and within five minutes it's ready to use

Love, love, love it!! We just moved into our house, can’t afford to replace the carpet just yet and I don’t think it’s been cleaned once in the 11yrs of its existence. Here is the answer to my prayers! It scrubs deep, has powerful suction and even the rinse cycle does wonders picking up dirt and grime. The reservoir lasts longer than I would have expected and it’s super easy to empty and refill. I added a (gross) picture of my second run on a 4x6 spot in front of my kids’ rooms. You can’t see through the water at all! Highly recommend to someone who can’t fit a rental into their trunk and/or wants something at the ready!

The geek squad protection for this was wonderful. It Work great for many years. Then stopped all of a sudden it stopped. No hassle of switching it out to a new one.

DO NOT PURCHASE THUS UNIT!!! I am the customer who goes through and reads every review and did tons of research. I opted for this unit and after only a handfuls of use it is leaking and completely useless!!!! I have had much luck with renting and the headache of owning one of these machines isn’t worth the time or money!

I was in the market for a deep carpet cleaner and wanted to find something that would be easier to use than the commercial rug cleaner you would typically rent from a store, something that was quieter, portable-friendly, and more than capable of handling some common carpet stains from high-traffic areas in the home. After reading some reviews, I chose this particular product, and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked as advertised: it deep cleaned my carpet, lifted the stains in one go, quickly dried several areas as I finished another room, and remained relatively quiet like our vacuum. Aside from the many positive things about it, there were a few minor negatives during the whole cleaning process: for one, this unit definitely burned through warm water relatively fast, so I needed to empty the water tank and refill it about 2-4 times more than the dirty water tank, but it only took a couple of minutes to stop in between carpet treatments; second, depending on how much carpet area you want to touch up on, expect the small carpet cleaning solution reservoir to be the next thing to have to refill with another bottle, but this part lasted longer than expected, getting through a whole living room; and third, the product, through constant use, does in fact get heavier over time, so expect it to weigh more than when you began as it collects the majority of the water you had originally poured into it--your arm will get fatigued after 10-15 minutes. In my overall experience with this cleaner, I still highly recommend it to get the job done at its current market price, so you are definitely getting more bang for your buck right now during the shopping season. I just recommend you pick up 2-3 bottles of cleaning solution too! It is definitely easy to assemble and disassemble, clean out all working parts with water, and makes cleaning your carpet very easy, and seeing the results as you go is definitely rewarding.

This is our second Hoover carpet cleaner. The first lasted 7 years. We spot clean our carpets frequently due to our two dogs and we do full carpet cleaning a couple of times per year. The new unit seems reasonably well built. Obviously, it is mostly plastic but it is not flimsy. The best feature is the large capacity clean water reservoir as that means fewer refills. The unit cleans very well with deep cleaning into the carpet. The suction is very efficient so it leaves minimal amount of water and soap on the carpet after cleaning. Just be sure to move slowly. Don't move the unit as you would a vacuum cleaner as you need to give the unit time to dampen the carpet, scrub it and then suction away the dirt and water. A good buy!

This was bought to replace an old Bissell Pro 2X heat unit. That one was good but always leaked. Again that was the older unit. I got this one since it had a different way of scrubbing the carpet with rotating brushes. It works well. Here's my pro/con summary: Pro: Great suction and sucks up most of the water it puts down. Did a great job pulling up the dirt Light weight compared to my old unit and easy to carry Like the separated clean/dirty water compartments. Con: Too much plastic (but this makes is lighter) Attaching the hand wand is a pain. This is my biggest gripe as this is one thing I liked using. Almost seems like they made it a pain so you buy the hand held unit only. Overall...I would buy this again even with my cons.

Bought this to replace my 2nd broken Bissell cleaner. So far I like this one better. It seems to do a good job of cleaning and it is much easier than the Bissell to clean up the machine itself afterwards. I also like the fact that the Hoover has a rinse function - will probably help the carpet to last longer. On the downside, the dirty water tank on the Hoover doesn't seem to hold very much, which means you have to empty more often. Also, the design of the machine means that it will not fit under some furniture that the Bissell would. On the whole though, I'm happy with the purchase so far.

well I would like to say this cleaner does as it says it will. its easy and lightweight and is easy to empty in between jobs. the only thing I would say dont expect clear water if your renting and just cleaning up as maintenance or some spring cleaning. I know when I buy a house it will have new carpet if older then 1yr. as for pet smells or bathroom issues, I would say it works nicely, and takes care of smell but dont be discouraged if not gone after one cleaning, I would wait a week and clean steamer real good between spots from pet stuff. so as to not have the smell linger in the air. I have tested also that using fabulouso (a pine or floor cleaner) to add a lavender (citrus or pine) and more cleaning power does help with the smell, the cleaners they offer dont have in much of a way to freshen the smell of the cleaning job. it hasn't messed up yet, but I would also caution to watch or do 1/4 scented cleaner and rest their brand or Bissell's rug cleaner, the Fabulouso is just there for smell and all. if you do add a floor cleaner for scent and whatnot, make sure to clean the tank out nicely and throughly, and cehck tubes to make sure nothing clogs over time.

The Hoover Power Scrub Elite made my 17 year old remnant look like a brand new carpet, and the entire carpet was dry in about 90 minutes. The dirty water tank fills up really quick. So, it is time consuming emptying the dirty water every 5-10 minutes. Otherwise, it's a great machine, easy to handle.

I like this carpet cleaner. I researched the Bissell Pet Pro and this Hoover Power Scrub Elite. Based on the reviews, both units were neck and neck. It seems as though both have a huge and positive following. My deciding factors on the Hoover over the Bissell were the following: The hoover has a 11 amp motor. The Bissell only had a 6.8 amp motor. The hoover has larger water bins. The hoover is a 12 inch wide cleaning foot print. The hoover has $189 as compared to the Bissell at $249. For me it became a clear decision. I couldn't be happier with it. Check out my picture. The proof is in the dirty water.

The cleaner does the job and the bigger tank gives you more time to clean more space. Easy to use and assemble. My house is 1200 square feet and this is perfect. Took me about 4 hours to do all the rooms

This is easy to use, light enough to push around the carpet without breaking your back or a sweat! It cleans and removes the scent of dog urine like a champ. Having both options of a deep clean or a quick clean is awesome too. Sucks up a lot of the water from cleaning and carpets dry in a few hours. I have short tight fiber carpet that is light brown and each time I clean my carpets they look, feel, and smell clean.

The machine was heavier than I expected. However, since there are separate containers for clean/dirty water, this is well worth getting used to. I was able to clean living/dining, bedroom and hall without refill. Just wish cord was longer.
