Q: Ball for dirty water receptacle keeps popping up
A: Hi Ricky! The float can pop up prematurely if the filter is dirty or if you're using too much soap. To clean the filter simply rinse it under running water. Also, be sure you are using the recommended amount of solution in your SteamVac. If your solution is 2X concentrated, dilute it with water. Hope this helps! ~Kenya, Hoover Customer Care
Q: does this actually produce steam to clean?
A: NOPE. That's why it no longer called the SteamVac, but rather the MaxExtract. Copy the Model Number from the Best Buy website and look it up on Amazon or Hoover.com. It's the MaxExtract that uses "Forced Heat" technology. For what it's worth, steam would probably melt your carpets. I'd be more concerned that the entire SpinScrub assembly is made of plastic. That's what broke on mine. It's a common problem with these units. Look at the Rug Doctor Upright Deep Cleaner instead.
Q: can I put first to present my Hoover Max Extract
A: Please call Hoover Customer Care at 800-944-9200
A: Hi EmmausDan! The only difference is the colors. The picture of model F7452900 shown on the Hoover website is what your SteamVac All Terrain will look like. Please let us know if you have more questions! ~Kenya, Hoover Customer Care
A: A little but it leaks like a sieve and you have to put a deep tray under it to catch the water. I wouldn't use it again for that. It has always leaked on carpets a little but it isn't too bad if you keep it moving.
Q: Could I use this on ALL my tile, hardwood, plus clean my carpets???
A: Yes, it works on all the floors.
Q: How can I get a copy of instructions on how to use this steam cleaner ?
