I am very impressed. I have bought a new Chromebook every year since 2012. This is by far the best Chromebook I have ever used. The i5 is very smooth and responsive. The screen is full of vibrant colors and the 400 nits of brightness are amazing. This really is an impressive screen. The speakers are Bang & Olufsen, very solid sound. They are downward facing but plenty loud. The Fingerprint Reader gives added security and an easy login. Sleek, light weight and classy looking. I also enjoy this track pad more than any other I have used in the past. On my first day of usage with brightness set to roughly 75% and keyboard lights at about 25% I am down to 72% battery remaining and 7:08 left. Easy 9-11 hours on a charge. Very solid indeed! HP gets a 10 from me on this device. Highly recommended!

I am a Chromebook junkie/collector - I have tried the Pixel book Go I5, The Acer Spin 713 10th gen I5, the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga C13, the Samsung Galaxy 2 with 10th gen I3. This laptop as far as quality, and build blows all of them away. It may not have the best of single item such as best screen or keyboard. But taken as a whole this laptop is the best. The keyboard and trackpad - top notch. The screen 3:2 with 400 nit brightness, and small bezels is great. A fast NVI drive with 256GB of storage most available on Chromebook. An I5 -10th gen processor and 8GB of ram to slog through most of your work. It doesn't get much better than this. The only thing I wish to make it perfect is the battery life. Battery life is okay 6-8 hours for working so it just gets you through a full day and if you don't the battery can be quickly topped up with rapid charge. But really, I would like to be able to leave the charger at home. The weight on this puppy is also good just under 3 lbs. If you can get this on sale which has happened a couple of times, there is not a better Chromebook laptop for the money in my opinion.

I love chromebooks - and really they 99.99% of what I do - and do it fast and elegantly. This one has a fast processor, more than enough RAM, a nice keyboard feel and the ideal 3:2 aspect ratio. But, why oh why did HP put silver keys with white writing on it? You are *constantly* manually adjusting the backlight. But I returned this because of the screen. Why oh why HP? It is bright, it has fantastic contrast - but it is lower resolution for a premium device - not as good as a mac. But, the viewing angles are bizarre. When working at the table, the top and bottom of the screen aren't the same brightness. Tilt one way, top is beautiful and clear but bottom is more washed out. Tile the other way, opposite. I can't live with this for the price - I expect this from a cheap $200 laptop. HP why? Look at and imitate great reference premium laptops if you want to charge a premium price. Sigh.

Work horse. Fast af. I am not gentle with this. I run a few bars and it gets wet, dirty and beat. It hasn't missed a step in close to two years now. Touch screen helps me (being disabled) as well as my quadrapalegic boss for whom i bought one as well. Often use it as a tablet to take orders, work our host apps or sketch out a floor plan for a party, as well as my main work computer.

This is a great Chromebook. High school kids use it for school and it does great for what they need it for. Good speed. Good amount of storage accessibility.

FYI: The model number for this particular device on HP says it has LTE and the pictures on Best Buy show a nano-SIM slot but I just received this Chromebook and it does not have a SIM slot for mobile Data. Everything else looks good.

An Excellent, but expensive Chromebook. Very high quality, excellent specs and lightweight. I love the aspect ratio. The only downside is the price. Its hard to argue its worth 3x the price of other checkbooks unless you know you need the i5.

i wanted to buy a chromebook because my laptop is big and fairly slow, so it's inconvenient for going back and forth to classes. this one works great and it's super lightweight, fast, and i don't really feel like i'm compromising features.

Great Chromebook, bright screen and responsive. I have an issue with why hp thought making the keyboard silver and light color keys. Hard to see.

I really like this laptop and that it is 2 on 1. I’m still learning some of the apps but it is a great laptop. Light weight and fast.

Could be an ideal… Beautiful (and thoughtful) design, great quality, slick, compact, fast and quiet. But - keyboard is “blind” (why it is silver?, make it dark gray) - display resolution is not for a premium laptop

Very pleased with the laptop. I'm able to run virtual machine's in it using qemu. The Linux terminal does all I could ask for. This is my fourth Chromebook ever. I plan to buy another if and when this one wears out.

This Chromebook has been great for my son's homeschooling. Works with most educational apps. Will not work with others that are not "Google" apps. Might want to make sure it will work with what you need it for before buying. For us it worked well for most everything such as Reading Eggs, Adventure Academy, etc...
