A: This printer uses the 67 and 67XL inks. You can purchase a 67 black-tricolor combo pack for $34.99. The 67 black is rated for 120 pages while the 67 tri-color is rated for 100 pages. This comes out to 16 cents per page for the 67 inks. The 67XL inks have double the ink and are sold separately. The 67XL black is $28.99 and rated for 240 rated pages while the 67XL tri-color is currently $29.99 for 200 rated pages. Both of these combined come out to 13.4 cents per page, which is 2.6 cents lower than purchasing the standard 67 combo pack. The most cost-effective option is the HP Instant Ink service, which is based on how many pages you print per month and will send the ink to you automatically right before you need it. The print costs range from 4 cents to 11 cents per page, no matter what type of printing you do.
