I purchased 6 of these for my small business. Since the HP 840 G5 comes with many options, what I received varied. Overall, I was happy with the purchase and think these are great laptops. I will end up exchanging or returning 2 of them, for reasons noted below. Overall, I was satisfied with the cosmetic condition of each. 5 of the 6 came with a vinyl application on the lid cover, which is common for a refurbished device. The vinyl is nice looking and provides a little brushed steel texture. The 6th one did not have the vinyl application, but that lid cover was already in excellent condition. 1 had a slight ding near the power adapter, but it was very minor and did not affect the appearance or operation. 4 of the 6 came with factory plugged SIM Card slots, meaning they were never intended to have mobile data capability. The other 2 came with the SIM slots open, but no SIM card tray. According to Device Manager, none of them had a WWAN controller, which would be required to use a SIM card for mobile data. It was not advertised with an active SIM slot, so this was acceptable, 2 of the 6 had a different camera setup at the top of the screen. It was the same 2 with open SIM slots, so I presume it had something to do with being manufactured with potential of adding the WWAN controller. the other 4 had a single camera lens and what appeared to be a light sensor. Out of the 4 with a single camera lens, 1 was missing the sliding shutter that hides the camera. It's a minor detail that doesn't affect functionality and if the other 3 hadn't had it, I never would have even noticed. 1 of the 6 that I received had an Intel 7th Gen processor. Since they are advertised with 8th Gen, this was not acceptable. This 7th Gen processor is not compliant with Windows 11. I confirmed the processor model in settings, so I knew it wasn't just the wrong sticker. That laptop is being returned. 2 of the 6 arrived with aftermarket power cords. Although the aftermarket power cords indicated the same output as the HP branded ones, they did not work. The laptops would not charge from them or recognize being plugged in. This was fairly minor inconvenience for me since I planned to use them with a dock anyway. But for someone needing the use of the power cord, be sure it works within the return period! (Side note: one of the benefits of this laptop is the ability to dock and use multiple monitors. Refurb slim docks are available for a very reasonable price) All 6 laptops have backlit keyboards. I know that is an optional feature and I was happy to see that all of them came with that feature. 1 of the 6 had a defective touchpad. The touchpad should have a left and right click by pressing in the appropriate spot, but 1 of the ones I received wouldn't right click. There's a physical right click button located above the touchpad that worked, but I realized how accustomed I was to using the touch pad for left and right click. That laptop will also be returned. The fingerprint sensor worked on all 6. Of the 4 I am keeping, I decided to upgrade the RAM. I was pleased to find that the 8GB pre-installed RAM was a single SODIMM, leaving 1 open SODIMM slot. It was easy to upgrade to 16GB of RAM. The laptops generally work as expected and, other than the issues noted above, are in good condition. All 6 came pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro. They each included a Warranty Statement from Plan IT ROI, which clarified the 18-month warranty covers mechanical failure, hard drive failure, RAM failure, and loose charging ports. Battery issues are covered for only 12 months. I have not had a need to contact their support yet.

I think my computer is used, it didn't cost me as cheap as to be used, it also comes with details on the bottom and on the keyboard.

I have to complain that mine has an i5 7300U processor, not an 8th gen i5 8350u as advertised. Big difference here as 7300U isn't Windows 11 capable. When you advertise tech specs please get them right or get one star. No way to contact seller to make it right, just return and no more trust. :( You made me sad.

I wish I returned this computer when I had the chance, but it only had a 30 day return window. I feel scammed.. The charger that came with it did not work at all out of the box. I ended up using my daughter'sbring me charger to plug it in and make sure the computer worked. I let that go since I don't use a laptop constantly but shortly after found out that the battery in it is shot. It does not hold a charge at all and it has to be plugged in at all times if you are using it. Otherwise, it is dead. Also, thecomputer will not do any updates needed. Every time I turn the computer on it makes me wait about 15 minutes because it says it is doing updates. Then it says that there is an error and it cannot complete updates. It has been doing this ever since I took it out of the box. It does this every single time I plug it in and turn it on. Now I don't even use it and I wish I could just get my money back because it was a huge waste and it's junk. It did not even come in an HP box. It came thrown in a normal brown box with paperwork that says if there's an issue with the computer, you have to send it out to the company that refurbished it.. Bot Best Buy

I wanted an Windows 11 laptop as my second computer to use while traveling. I did not need or want to pay for a brand new computer so I took a chance on purchasing a Best Buy refurbished. It exceeded my expectations. It arrived on time. Set up nicely and performs well. Just what I wanted

I was highly disappointed with this laptop because it went black just 12 days after it was received. Although the product was reskinned to appear in good condition, the device was anything but dissatisfactory. It was used for very minimal of work a few days only to go completely blank. It was charged and every effort to get it back was unsuccessful. The laptop arrived on time and the easy of return to a Best Buy Store are the only positives I can say about this laptop.
