Outer pre-filter compatible with Love-less Ash A1200 Lynx Ash Vac Vacuum / A1209. This non-flammable outer filter is designed to capture fine dust and ash from fireplaces, BBQ grills, fire pits, pellet stoves, pizza ovens, and construction cleanup while helping protect the vacuum motor and reduce ash escaping back into your home. Used with a cartridge HEPA filter (sold separately), the pre-filter captures up to 99% of ash to help extend HEPA filter life and maintain suction. Designed for cool to warm fine ash only; it is not intended for glowing hot embers, since a red hot ember can char the material and reduce filtration performance (larger embers are more likely to cause damage than small sparks). Easy to install and clean; use forced air (not water) to remove embedded ash and dust. Clean or replace the filter when suction decreases, and replace at least once a season or any time it becomes damaged, develops holes, or is charred.
