Ian Boddy - Revolve - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Renowned touch guitarist Markus Reuter is one of the stalwarts of the DiN tag. His initial collaboration with tag founder Ian Boddy was the releases Distant Rituals (DiN2). Since then he has been involved with several other DiN projects, including Zero Ohms & Bernhard WInchstheinrich. Looking to do another collaboration with Boddy, Markus composed several long soundscape improvisations over the summer of 2020. The duo realised that with the pandemic they would not be able to physically work together in the studio at the same time. Boddy took these ambient starting points and using his vintage Roland System 100M modular synthesiser began to arrange, cut up and shape these into a coherent album. The work is conceived as two long 20 minute suites.

Debut album featuring core members Andrew Moszynski (guitar) and Chad Ross (vocals/guitar) of celebrated psych-rock heroes Quest for Fire. For fans of Quest for Fire, BJM, the Black Angels, Queens of the Stone Age, Sisters of Mercy, LOOP and Dead Meadow.

Meridian is the third collaborative project between DiN tag boss Ian Boddy & renowned Norwegian composer & guitarist Erik Wollo. Their previous two projects were the duos debut , Frontiers (DNS39), followed by their live performance at the Electronic Circus Festival V on EC12. Playing like a travelogue to an undiscovered land, the duo effortlessly mix the analogue synth & string textures of Boddy with the intricate interlocking patterns of Wollo's guitar that at times sound like delicate sequencer patterns.
