The Insignia 2-port USB 3.0 card is a reasonable solution that works well and is cost effective. However, if you need 2-ports, you could probably use 4 or more, so I recommend that you spend a few $$$ more and go for at least a 4-port card.

needed USB 3.0 ports on my computer to get max through put for my hard drive docking station and my AC1200 USB adapter. It was a simple install after locating an unobstructed pci-e slot (graphic card cooling fan over hang . the cards short design helped it fit ). Installed the drivers from the included disk and was up and running in less than 15 min bench time. Installed on a HP desktop running Win 7 Pro with no problems. Did a driver update check , a few test runs with the docking station and saw a great improvement in performance. Good buy for the price. Must admit, I should have bought the 4 port card because it seems that more things want to be plugged in for some reason ...lol

I have been using this card for several weeks with no issues. I have tested it in Windows 7 64-bit only. I have connected several USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices to it. The USB 3.0 devices are very fast. Very pleased with performance, installation and price.

I required a USB 3 port on the rear of my computer. My computer came with 9 USB ports. 4 on the front and 5 on the back. But all of the back ones are USB 2. The front has 2 USB 2 , and 2 USB 3. I had to have one on the back so I wouldn't keep kicking the cable. This card worked perfectly. Running Windows 10 I had to do nothing but put the card in. Great deal in my mind. I did read the reviews, and some people are having issues. I just let windows handle the drivers and I had no issue.

Gets the job done and super easy to setup(no drivers needed on Windows 8.1) I have had the card and used both of it's USB ports for over a month now with not a single issue so far. I was nervous when I bought the product because it was an open box item, but nothing was missing from the box and before I left the store I checked to make sure the card wasn't physically broken, not a thing out of place besides the box being a little roughed up and the product is perfect for my extra gaming accessories.

This component works great, works with 3.0 and 2.0 USB's; now my 2007 computer rig is working with 2017 USB technology. The only drawbacks I can point out is: I'm a computer maintenance tech student and I can say it was easy to install the component (just a non-magnetic screwdriver and a little internet know-how) however, 1) Some people who're not tech savvy may have a hard time connecting the component to the power source without the proper knowledge (but a little internet research can solve that problem.) 2) Does require a little knowledge of SATA cables (which are not included) for connecting the component to the power supply. Personally, (since I have some knowledge on this) I happily give this a 5/5 star rating. Overall, however, considering those who don't have the tech know-how and the lack of a SATA cable forces me to give this a 4/5 star rating. *If you find some of my information incorrect or inaccurate, please feel free to let me know and I'll be more than willing to amend my review if necessary.*

I have a gaming PC and while I have way more ports than the average person would ever need to use, I ran out and needed more for my devices and peripherals. I looked at this because it was cheap and I could use it for more USB ports. The card sits in a PCIe 2.0 or 3.0 1x slot so you can literally put it in most modern PC's from 2010 or newer with no issue. You do need to install drivers for it which is not a problem in the slightest as it uses a third party controller for resource allocation to ports. My complaint is that this card needs a power cable from the power supply plugged into it, and no it's not a Molex or SATA Power cable, it's a 4 pin floppy cable. Literally a cable that no modern PC should use at all since this device is designed to be used in a 2010 or newer computer. Now I had this cable on my power supply and I suspect that most people do, but my gripe is that this cannot for whatever reason, draw power from the PCIe slot even though it does provide around 30 watts of power at peak. I have since replaced this for something that uses an Intel controller, has 4 ports, and can run off the PCIe 1x by itself.

Title basically says it all. Very easy to install, even if you don't really know what you're doing. Works very well. I only had USB 2.0 ports on my desktop, and adding these USB 3.0 ports showed an instant difference. For the price, definitely worth it for me.

My PC ran out of USB ports for my new devices using USB 3.0 connection. It was very easy to install on my PC. Within minutes, my PC automatically recognized and installed the needed drivers for it. It has been weeks now and still in working order.

This item works great with all portable devices using USB 3.0 ports. I have no problem with the installation. My desktop recognizes the card and automatically installs the required driver. It was really faster than the old USB 2.0 ports.

Great USB-3 card for my desktop. Easy to install. Only wish it had more than two inputs, but needed it right away and couldn't wait for order online.

This expansion is easy to install and now provides my older desktop with USB 3.0 ports. It works well and is great for the cost. I'm not the best with computers but I was able to install it easily.

Product quality was as expected and was easy to install. Works as advertised. This mod brought an old PC back to life with a new HD video cemera that required USB3.

Needed a couple extra USB 3 ports. This came in handy. Installed quick, runs like a champ. If you are on the fence about this, just get it. It works.

This card is very reliable, works in Windows 10, and did not require any additional drivers (ie: operating system installed automatically). The power connector is a standard floppy style connector, which for me was not a problem, as (by design of needing a 3.0 port) this card was for a slightly older computer that had that extra power cord not being used. I mention reliability, as reviews on other similar products speak of random disconnects and such of devices plugged in. I have never had that problem with this device.
