  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 51 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. • Child Lock: true (Setting that allows appliance to be temporarily locked to prevent use.)

    • Water Soil Sensor: true (Feature that measures how dirty the water is throughout the wash cycle and adjusts the energy and water usage as needed. This can increase washing efficiency and may reduce energy costs.)

Q: How much energy does this dishwasher use annually?

A: This dishwasher uses an estimated 249 kilowatt hours annually.

Q: What are the available wash cycles on this dishwasher?

A: You can choose between Normal, Heavy, Express, and Rinse wash cycles.

Q: What is the capacity of this dishwasher?

A: This dishwasher has a place setting capacity of 14.

Q: Does this dishwasher have a filter system?

A: Yes, this dishwasher uses a filter system to separate dirty and clean water for better performance.

Q: Does this Insignia dishwasher have a sanitize option?

A: Yes, it has a sanitize rinse option that maintains a high temperature of 158° F (70° C) to sanitize your dishes.

Q: What are specs for the water supply elbow that is customer provided? Provide a part number or link? Installing at remote site and need to bring it with me. Old dishwasher has standard supply input (3/8" I think), but the manual says elbow required.

A: Your answer is incorrect! I had to unbox it to make sure before I take it to the remote install location. It is NOT 3/4" NPT. It is a standard 3/4" FHT (garden hose type connector) to 3/8" compression. It is a standard dishwasher connection, and the elbow is available at any hardware store and is sold as a dishwasher connection elbow. Too bad its not included with the dishwasher, not specified in the installation manual, and Insignia customer service agents don't even know the right answer!

Q: My current dishwasher is 30" high. I am seeing information on the internet that it is possible to remove the "feet" of a dishwasher so that it will fit a 30" high opening. Is this possible with this dishwasher and will the installation crew do this?

A: Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, it is possible to remove the feet of the Insignia™ - 24” Top Control Built-In Dishwasher to fit a 30" high opening. The feet are adjustable and can be removed or lowered to reduce the height of the dishwasher. Regarding the installation crew, they typically handle adjustments like leveling the dishwasher and removing the feet if necessary. However, it's always a good idea to confirm this with Best Buy or the installation service provider to ensure they can accommodate your specific needs. Keith | Insignia Support

    Greatest Purchase!

Cleans the dishes real good. No ugly smell in the dishwasher or on the dishes. I can run the dishwasher at night and not hear it going while trying to sleep. So much better compared to my old one. It’s so quiet that I have to put my hand to make sure it’s running. Plus no water stains stay on the outside. Best deal ever all the way around.

Dishwasher needed; it was exactly what we need.

We needed a new dishwasher and Best Buy had the perfect model. It was easy to transport and easy to install. The clerk was most helpful in helping me fill out the credit application. It was extremely easy to get approved. Thanks Best Buy.

    GOUGED BY THE INSTALLATION COMPANY

First things first, great dishwasher for the price. Happy with purchase. Unhappy with installation. I was okay with the cost for delivery, installation, and disposal. It was a bit rich, but the convenience represented value. Included within this price was a parts kit for install, priced at $40 for the kit. As promised on the day before the delivery, I received an email telling me that my actual installation window was between "6:59pm and 7:00pm". Assuming an error, I called BB in the morning. After sitting on various holds for over 30m, the phone rep said the delivery would be the last on the route around 5:30p. Tech showed up at 3p, Not really a big deal. Here's the ringer. the tech pulls out the old unit, and tells my wife the parts from the kit won't work, and the air gap vent needs replacement. He charged us $200 for a braided line, an air line, a vent cap, and couplings. This is ridiculous. Having no other option but for us to cancel the installation and hire another contractor to complete the install, we paid their ransom and completed the install. Those parts are worth $50 at best, and we've already paid for the installation labor! While I understand that the installation company is independent from BB, your company ultimately vetted ABC Installations of Garden Grove, CA to provide service under your brand. We genuinely feel like we were hosed, pun intended. I like one-stop shopping, but if this is the level of service we should expect from BB, my one stop may not be here next time. A company as robust as BB should not trust its reputation to 3rd-string grifters like ABC Installations
