Overall, we are satisfied with this dishwasher. It does a good job of cleaning dishes. It is very quiet. Its design is well conceived. Its construction is good enough to be called satisfactory. The bin is roomy. The dishwasher arrived with the rail for the top rack not fastened to the stainless steel wall of the dishwasher. We popped that in, and it seems okay. Let's talk about the top rack. It is designed to hold 16 sets of silverware, placed on edge. The rack can be arranged in four different configurations. We have been using it to clean cutlery and other cooking utensils, which must lay flat. There is no cleaning arm for this section, so the water comes from below. We have figured out we need to thoroughly rinse these items or they don't get clean. The rack almost seems seems flimsy, and it does not slide in and out smoothly. However, it is "good enough", and we like the idea of it. I have attached a photo. The other two racks, which include a conventional silverware bin, are fine. The bottom includes lots of closely spaced tines, and some can be folded down. We are still getting used to the control panel, which is hidden from view when the dishwasher is closed. It uses "touch capacitance" instead of a pressure pad, similar to your phone. It is very sensitive, and we had to get used to not accidentally touching the wrong buttons. On the right side, there is a mystery display panel. It shows codes, and/or time to delay starting the dishwasher (you can load dishes and tell the machine to start as much as 24 hours later-nice!) I wish there would be a table in the manual to tell me what all these codes mean. It is very easy to program this machine. Another cool feature is the lighting!! The bin is amply supplied with blue LED lighting. I have attached a fuzzy photo that shows you how it lights up. And the LEDs do not stop there. When the dishwasher is running, a blue LED shines on the floor. There are no lights or controls visible on the front door; only the handle. Now, for the warning. This dishwasher sits flush on the floor. My previous dishwashers sat on legs, and the plumbing and electrical ran under them. On this dishwasher, there are two channels built into a plastic base. Upon installation, the Geek Squad had to leave with the dishwasher uninstalled, because they did not have the legal wherewithal to cut and shorten the existing copper pipe and attach a compression fitting. Best Buy credited my installation fee, but I had to call my plumber to complete the installation. There are leveling legs, but if you are retrofitting an old dishwasher, you probably have my situation. Arrange for Best Buy "Professional" (not Geek Squad), or call your plumber. One more thing, I purchased the Best Buy installation kit. It is a necessity. In the old days, all the stuff in there would have been included with the dishwasher, so make sure you include the $30 cost of the kit in your overall price. I am a conservative ratings person. If something is going to get five stars, it must be perfect. The top rack cleaning leaves a little bit to be desired, along with the manufacturing defect, and the inability to easily install takes this down to four stars. Nevertheless, I believe this dishwasher is a good value, and I would recommend it.

The first machine had no packaging damage on the outside. There were dents on the inside of the door and the right side of the frame and a dent outside but no box damage. The machine was replaced with an identical model. It also had similar dents inside on the right frame and door but no delivery damages. These machines should never have left the factory to be sold as new. The racks also felt flimsy and delicate to use. The first machine came on in the middle of the night without us setting anything. Too many electronic controls.

I buy it and can’t find the fitting for the supply line anywhere

I was skeptic of this dishwasher at first. I had read negative reviews and some good ones so I didn’t know what to expect. But so far I haven’t had any issues with this dishwasher. It’s SUPER quiet. Cleans and dries the dishes well, and the light inside is a great feature. You may not think so at first but it’s really convenient. The salesman told me when I bought it that it’s made by whirlpool and bestbuy pretty much puts their name on it which is insignia. As stated with other reviews and good thing to note is that the bottom has channels that the water lines and power cords run through it’s not completely open like some other dishwashers. I have a newer house which has a outlet behind the dishwasher so their was no need to hardwire. Only downside I can think of so far is the buttons sometimes get pressed when opening and closing the washer because their on top of the door. But otherwise so far so good.

Happy I bought this Insignia, Stainless steel interior, interior lights and three racks! Cleans great and is extremely quiet running. Haven't figured out yet how to turn off the "E9" trouble shooting display light - the booklet that came with the Insignia does not tell you how to turn it off. So I've had to throw my breaker switch momentarily to "reset" the display. Weird.

It cleans very well on the Quick Wash cycle, even without soap. That is all I have used so far. Slick design. I love the blue light that comes on when it is running. The sensor buttons are very sensitive, if you touch that area, it starts flashing, prompting you to select a cycle, even if you touched it by accident. I have not figured out how to cancel that, yet. It is constantly flashing until I actually run it. That's a bit annoying.

Pros: cleans very well; quiet; good value compared to other manufacturers with the same features. Cons: A light tells you when it’s working and it goes off when done, but there is nothing that indicates the cycle is complete, so it is not obvious to someone else if the dishes are clean or dirty. The racking is not as efficient as our old Maytag so we get fewer dishes in each load (but it cleans much better). The cycle setting buttons on the door tend to get touched when you open and close it so you have to pay attention to them when you run it.

ive had it less than a month. but over all for the price, look, and quality i cannot complain. its very quiet and user friendly and cleans the dishes very well. the only reason for the 4 stars is because ive had it less than a month. hopefully no problems arise

The dishwasher cleans better than other brand I have ever owned. The third racks saves a lot of space. Very quiet. Considering the matching refrig

I love this dishwasher! It took me a little to get used to loading it with the 3rd shelf and tines of bottom shelf differences from my old but it holds so much and does a great job cleaning! I love the interior lighting and the buttons on top out of view! Pleased with my insignia purchases. Shame you do not have them on the sales floor I am sure you would sell so much more just as good as the kitchen aid I was looking at for twice the price

The unit runs well, cleans very well. My only issue is that the power setting buttons are located on the top of the door panel and is prone to collecting water which causes an error code that cannot be cleared without throwing the circuit breaker and resetting the unit. This has happened 5x in 4 months.

This dishwasher is a great purchase. It does a fantastic job cleaning and rinsing. The heated dry cycle is so good there is never any left over water or streaks on any of the dishes or glassware. My favorite feature of this dishwasher is the indication light that glows on the floor is fantastic for knowing when the dishwasher is running with the kitchen lights off. I know that sounds odd, but it is very nice. I also love having the 3rd rack. It makes large knifes and other large kitchen tools easy to clean without them being in the way of other dishes in the second rack. I recommend this dishwasher as a very nice upgrade if you have something that is very basic!

Machine is quieter than our previous washers. Enjoy the additional racks for utensils and cutlery. Everything, including glasses, gets clean without residue. Very happy with this purchase.

This dishwasher is quiet and cleans well. It never really turns "off" and always has a blue light, and it was a little confusing to figure out how to start the machine.

Love this Insignia. So quiet, dishes come out clean. We were in search for a new one and I believe Insignia is a great brand! So, looked over several models, chose the Insignia. Oh and the tub is great and the lights are an asset! Love it!

When it works, it works well. We hate that we constantly need to go to the circuit breakers and reset the switch to help us get rid of the error code on the top of the touch screen. This is very aggravating and annoying! I wish there was a "fix" for this!

I purchased this dishwasher because my old one was wearing out. I researched brands and really wanted the top rack. The price was reasonable and I wanted the stainless steel finish. The service provided at the Annapolis, MD store was excellent. Pros: large capacity; quiet; top rack; great look Cons: when the door is open and you walk by too closely, you probably will tap the setting buttons; still working with choosing the correct cycle so that dishes get completely clean; even with the rinse aid, dishes are still wet at end of cycle so I have to dry them before putting them away.

Cleans great, looks great and is super quiet. Much better than the one that was twice the price that I replaced. Make sure to buy the dishwasher install kit, the water line is a tight fit to put the kick panel back on.

Looks great, modern and sleek. Great dishwasher for the price. Only complaint is that it occasionally has the error about something pressing on the buttons. Only way to clear this is to trip the breaker.

Love this dishwasher! Extremely quiet! Wouldn’t even know it was on if it weren’t for the light at the bottom. Also love having the extra 3rd rack.
