Q: does the oven need ot be hooked up to water line for the steam clean?
A: No, for steam cleaning you put a measured amount of water in the pan at the bottom of the oven as per instructions. We live at 8,500 feet so water boils at about 195 degrees. As such we have found the steam cleaning a tad disappointing. At lower elevations I assume the steam is more effective.

Q: Is this "finger print" resisitant? And how easily does the top scratch or get stained?
A: I don’t have it that long but so far so good! I did purchase stainless steel cleaner and stove top cleaners just in case.
